If you like using the joycons to play this thing is pretty cool but after I got my pro controller I haven’t needed it. Save your money for a pro controller instead.

This is the same accessory that comes standard with the switch console with the only difference being that it has a usb port for charging. It's unfortunate that Nintendo makes you purchase this separately.

I thought this grip actually had a battery pack and would charge the joycons while they are attached, that is incorrect. All this grip has is a USB port that you have to plug in to charge the joy cons.

I question why Nintendo didn't include this from the start instead of forcing people to insert the joycons on the console itself in order to let it charge. It's pretty disappointing.

Bought this with the console but haven't used so far. I guess that if you want to play with friends it will be more useful. Since I have the pro controller the grip just doesn't make sense.

This is a nice way to charge the Joy-Con if you don't use the Switch in handheld mode very often, but the alignment of the buttons when the Joy-Con are in the grip leaves something to be desired.

This item was 30 bucks the same price as a wired switch controller, i only bought it cause all other controllers were out of stock

If you want to use the joy cons like a traditional controller then this is a must. Otherwise just buy the optional controller. I have not had any problems with this product.

The switch comes with a non charging version of this product. It's basically the same exact thing, except this one has a is slow to plug in. The grip will only charge your Joy cons when plugged in. I had assumed the grip itself held a charger to charge the Joy cons. This essentially just passes through charge. Unless you want to play with your controllers plugged in, there are much better options out there

This should have come with the Switch. Works fine, but nothing special. Love the Switch, but disappointed in the decisions being made around accessories.

Love the charging grip, but it is SO hard to figure out how to get the controllers out of the handle.

Unless you are using the switch in hand held mode all the time, the charging grip isn't a necessity. I even have trouble getting it to charge sometimes.

Helps with multiplayer. Works well enough, however, sometimes the controller slides up out of position in the heat of the game.

It is a add on for the Nintendo Switch for charging especially all families are playing all the time.

It feels like the same grip as the basic grip in the switch set. But charging well

I thought this would charge the joy cons with an internal battery built in. I didn't know they can only be charged with a cable connected.

The only benefit is that you don't need to slide it into the console to charge, that's it... so it's a matter of how lazy are you?

So many generations of consoles have been wireless, not sure anyone wants to go backwards. Even the 360 wired charging adaptor gather dust in my game drawer. Nothing kills a gaming session faster than having to find a cable and plug in, and go from moving around the room to stuck near a power source, so I always have extra controllers to switch to, haha, switch, sorry, but I didn't keep this grip, too constraining.

Identical to the bundled Joy-Con grip, but with NFC charging. You'd be better off spending more for the Pro Controller.

Thought this was going to connect the units together the same as what comes in the Switch console box. It is not.
