Customers often highlight the positive aspects of the NES Classic Edition controller, including its faithful recreation of the original design and feel, excellent compatibility with the system, and high-quality construction. Many appreciate its functionality for multiplayer gaming, making it ideal for two-player experiences. However, a common complaint centers around the short cord length. A few users also noted occasional lag, and some perceived the controller as slightly smaller than the original.

Short cord but perfect NES design.

I was disappointed that the NES Classic only came with one controller but this rectifies that with an additional official controller identical to the one that came with it. Which means it also suffers from the short cord. Still, this just feels "right" when playing NES games. Just get a cord extender if length is an issue for your setup.

This controller is a must have if you have the NES classic edition especially when you plan to play with a 2-player game. This is an original controller and is a perfect add-on. The console only comes with one controller when you buy it.

It is a nintnedo control, what can be said? For some reason it costs an arm and a leg if you weren't lucky enough to find one new. I use this on a super nintendo classic which is hacked works fine.

Same controller Nintendo includes with the NES mini. Bonus points that you can plug it into a Wiimote and use it with virtual console games, however, the cord is way too short to use with the Mini unless you sit very close to the TV.

This should have been packaged in with the console but it's cheap so can't really complain too much. I bought an extra just in case but I probably don't need it. Better safe than sorry though!!!

just like the original release in 1985 should it be wireless but is good for this generation to know what was gaming with wired control back in the 80.

Since the system itself only comes with one controller, having the second one allows you to play many of the games in 2-player mode, which really unlocks the NES Classic's full potential.

Been waiting forever to get another control to go with my NES Classic and I wanted this exact one for obvious reason! Caught it on the restock so now my system is complete! Time to play!

Nintendo has always done a great job on most of their hardware. These controllers feel almost identical to the original NES controllers. A must have if you have an NES classic or Wii U.

After the re-release of the NES classic. I expected them to upgrade the controllers cord length, still too short. I mean it does what it is suppose to, and that’s fine. But 2 ft is to close to the television for myself.

U need to buy an extra controller, system comes with only one. Also another good buy is the extension for the controllers. U buy them for $10, and u will be able to seat away from tv.

Not a fan of the delay in the offbrand wireless ones. And the wired cheaper off brands all have issues. This is one you want the original NES for.

I have tried the aftermarket controllers with the mini NES and only experienced issues. Glad to see the OEM product was released. It perfects perfect. No latency, sticky keys etc.

Just a small part of my NES classic I bought. I wish they had supplied more of these controllers but I think you'd have to call Nintendo directly to buy more. Have fun!
