It would hve been better if the made it longer or better if it was wireless

Not sure why Nintendo did not include 2 controllers, but if you trying to play 2-players you'll need this..

Would work great if the NES mini didn't have ridiculous lag time.

Got this to play multiplayer. Works fine,but there are better wireless options out there.

this best buy only advertised the wired controller for the nes classic console and I was a little upset because I later found a wireless controller at Target. I shop at best buy a lot and I hope to see a little more variety and less big branding

The controller itself is fine, but you have to pull the console out and sit on the floor because the cords are way too short.

This controller would be better if it had a joy stick. Use of the controller over time makes your thumbs sore.

It is so much tighter than I remember, well the controllers my friend had were quite worn. It works great on the super nintendo with a little magic tossed in, nudge nudge wink wink. But I had to spend way too much time on here attempting to acquire one, Nintendo needs to correct that. Yes, if you already don't have them buy the extension cables. This wire seems a tad shorter than the super nintendo controllers.

As you probably know, the Nintendo NES Classic Mini comes with only one controller and while many games are one player, it is nice to have 2 players. While there are a number of 3rd party brand controllers, it is safe to say that only an authorized Nintendo branded controller will do. I find 3rd party controllers don't always have the right feel and don't always work as well. However, these Nintendo original NES classic controllers typically sell out and if you want one, you have to pay through the nose on an auction site like Ebay. I was fortunate to grab one at under $10 at Best Buy. The only major issue with this controller is that it only has a 3 foot cable so you will need to get an extender cable. Otherwise, for the price, you can't beat it.

If you were like me and got the NES classic console then you know how important it is to get an extra controller for those two player games. I have tried many third party controllers both wired and wireless and they all pale in comparison to the original NES classic controller. The initial issue I had was trying to find this controller for purchase that's why I had to go with third party and wait a year until Nintendo finally decided to stock these. After getting one I can honestly say this is the best "official" controller to get. I would recommend getting an extension cable for the controller or you can get an extended HDMI cable to bring the console and controllers closer to you - since I no longer can sit on the floor close to the TV to play.

Unfortunately the NES Classic comes with only one controller so will need to purchase an additional one if needed. I recommend getting this first party model for only $10. Cables are short so add extensions too.
