I like the Wii U Gamepad, but I wanted an alternative since many of the games don't use the touchscreen, and the Gamepad's battery life is fairly short. The pro controller is a worthy substitute with an impressive battery life. I am still playing on the first charge of the controller, even after dozens of hours in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. My only complaint is the placement of the right analog stick, as I would prefer it to be placed underneath the four face buttons like other controllers.

What can I say. I haven't seen a third party controller on the market. So all I can is that this is the best other controller that you can get for the Wii U. I do think it is pretty stupid that you have to have the tablet active to use any additional controller. For some reason it is a base station for the controllers. Go figure.

Got it for free when I bought the Wii U bundle. It works swell with many of our games and is great for two player mode.

It feels a lot like an Xbox controller. I wish the right stick and the 4 face buttons were swapped, but it's easy to get use to playing. The controller feels nice and is very responsive. More comfortable than using the giant gamepad.

If your tired of using the bulky Wii U tablet and want something more like an Xbox one or PS4 controller, look no further.

It's a solid controller, but it will likely come down to personal taste on whether to get this or not. The controller feels slightly larger than an Xbox controller, but the right stick is set above the controller. This places the face buttons toward the middle of the controller, which I just can't get used to. For the price, I'd rather just stick with the relative position of the buttons on the Wii U Gamepad.

This remote is so much better then the wii mote. It's so much more comfortable then then big remote with the screen

This controller is very easy to use and light weight. It helps our 6 year old play games a lot easier than holding the bigger WiiU controller.

I bought this as an additional controller for the WiiU. It's great. And it's rechargeable, which is big in my eyes.

If your still stuck using Xbox or Playstation controllers, then this transition should convert smoothly for new players.

Kids have a Wii U and needed another controller. This is the same one that came with the system and works perfect.

Great "retro" controller when playing with the Wii U as a second person. Much better interaction then the nunchuck.

Got this for my son who likes to play other games without using the movement controllers. He likes it very much.

This controller is my choice of controller for the Wii U. I recommend it.

I actually prefer this controller over the original one with the screen. Better control of characters with this one.

At first, I thought that I would be able to use this for wii games as well as wii u games. I'm disappointed that, that is not the case, thus the reason for the rating. However, overall, it is a good atypical nintendo product.

Works great.....the controller we were looking for that was comparable with the system and not some cheap knock off.

Love the fact that it is wireless, Also very easy.

Pros: no wires Cons: eats batteries. Could have gotten away with the pro controller that connects to a wiimote.

Well I was Impressed with Nintendo,s version of Next Gen Controller but If they want The Wii-U to outsell The PS4 they should gave this Pro Controller and The Wii Remote for Free plus a Free Copy of Super Mario 3D World.Overall a Great Buy but alot of Gamers Complain about The Games for The Wii U but for Me its still The Price of The Pro Controller and Remote that should be in Half to Keep The System to Succed against The PS4 and Xbox One this Year plus Nintendo has to Wake Up and have more Mature and Adult Titles not Family and Mario Brother's Stuff since this Controller would be Excellent to Play alot of The Adult and Matured Stuff that available on The Nintendo 3ds to port over for HD Remakes for The Nintendo Wii U System for The E-Shop because a 1080p Remake of Xenoblade Chronicles would Outsell any of that Final Fantasy Stuff on The PS3 if They had it as an E Shop Exclusive with The Use of The Pro Controller. The Controller is a Buy but for 20 Cheaper they would Sell Fast if Nintendo would be more Opened Minded with there Power and History of JRPGs and Action/Adventure Stuff not Skylanders and Mario Gimmicks.
