The label says that it is a game cube controller for the Wii U. It is a game cube controller for the game cube. As for working on the game cube, it works great. So if you are wanting this for your Wii U, don't get it.

So it's a game controller that does what it's supposed to do. But why wouldn't they include the attachment for the Wii U? I gave this gift to my son for Christmas only to find out he can't use it because I did not buy the adapter that Is needed to play on the Wii U. Most annoying. :-(

The triggers are a bit stiff and even after breaking it in you would sometimes still need to push it all the way down. This is the only option left to get a brand new official gamecube controller without paying $60+.

Better than the original GC remote, wont break on you unless you mistreat it. This is worth buying unlike those 3rd party controllers, they wont last you a month.

my friend wanted me to get into smash, so I decided to pick up this controller. The left analog stick feels kinda odd, so its a lot to get used to. No rumble if you care about that feature. Material feels Cheap. Not bad, but not great like the original GC controllers.

The black insert inside the metal plug got stuck and pulled out of that metal sheath within a few hours of my son using it. Let me say that this is the first time we've had a problem with the durability or workmanship of a Nintendo product. Generally, they keep on tickin' - forever! But Best Buy asked for a review, so here you go. They should keep an eye on this so they're not using inferior suppliers or parts. It was a hassle, had to return it, Best Buy didn't have another. These have been in short supply. Had to go to a different store - wasted my time, yada yada.

I ordered this thinking that it would work for my son's WII U supersmash brothers, however, I didn't realize the adaptor is not included with the controller. Since the adaptor is next to impossible to get, he has not been able to actually use this controller.

As usual service was great at Best Buy. That is the reason my family and I are always going there. The price is also always the best !!!

Great purchase, requires the GameCube adaptor though which isn't made in big quantities anymore, and is therefore hard to find

No way to play smash without these got insurance cause the joystick will break down with use so recommend it worth the cash.

I recommend to get this from Best Buy instead from other store. Very reliable and sure will work with your system well.

I lost all my controllers, so when I finally decided to break out my gaming system this was such a nostalgic feeling.

Just what I needed but you need to get the adapter first in order to use it. The adapter holds up to 4 of these.

Definitely loved this remote because it reminded me of the GameCube which is one of my favorite consoles ever.

I have generic controllers and the branded controller. The action is better on this one made by Nintendo.

It would have been nice if the box indicated u need an adapter to be able to use it

Excellent product. Very resistant. The only thing I would upgrade to the controller is to be wireless.
