Doesn't have the same game play as the joy cons. Was disappointed in the grip and playability.

People raved about this when the Switch 2 came out, I hated it in comparison to the original Pro Controller. Felt cheap for the price.

Horrible shipping! I order 2 days ago and it still hasn't shipped when it was supposed to arrive next day. Definitely will go with Amazon next time.

Why not an OLED screen? The black levels are terrible.

The top is plastic, not metal. $90 is a rip off considering it’s Nintendo

As an IT professor who evaluates hardware with a heavy emphasis on ergonomics, performance, and long-term value, I'm usually meticulous about accessory purchases. I picked up the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller in black to accompany the new Switch 2 system, and it has proven to be an excellent addition—one that noticeably elevates the gaming experience. I originally purchased it for my son, and he enjoys the improved control and comfort it provides. From a technical standpoint, Nintendo has refined this model in all the ways that matter. The controller offers a more substantial grip, well-balanced weight distribution, and responsive buttons that feel far more precise.

Best Switch 2 Controller Hands Down !!!

This controller is the best Nintendo controller I've ever used. I never purchased the Switch 1 Pro controller but I can tell this is a nice upgrade. It's light in the hands, the joysticks glide smoothly, and the mappable back buttons are extremely useful. You can map the buttons to individual games as well which is very convenient when switching between games. If you have a Switch 2 I think this controller is essential.

    Gentle, quiet, smooth thumbsticks

If you already have a pro controller, this isn't a "necessary" upgrade. But it is smooth, it's super quiet, the buttons are soft and punchy. The '-' and '+' buttons are more pronounced. The big standout for this controller for me is how SMOOTH the thumbsticks are to use and play with. It makes virtually no texture or weird feelings when pushing to the edge, pretty quiet, and overall a comfortable controller. I just feel like I could have kept this purchase on the back end since I already had a pro controller from Switch 1. The price is the biggest hurdle here. Kind of an insane ask when you can port over older hardware, even without the C chat button.

It’s lighter, feels more premium and the extra buttons are a much needed improvement! The color scheme looks awesome as well with the two tone look.

The Switch 2 is already a fantastic gaming device, but this controller makes it a 6/5 star experience.

Good but not the best. I like my 8bitDo better, The sticks in this controller could drift as they are not TMR or hall effect. I like the feel of the 8bitDo better as well, My advice would be to save a few bucks and get the 8bitDo Ultimate Bluetooth controller 2 instead. I got the Yellow one which has so much more character than this one does. I expected this controller to blow me away and it didn't. One thing I can recommend is the BestBuy open box sales. I bought one in "good" condition, and I think the only reason it got that rating was the condition of the box. It has a small tear in it. The controller itself looks and feels brand new. So, save yourself some money and go for the open box.

I don’t know why people are so brainwashed by Nintendo that they have some mental block about criticizing anything made by Nintendo but the technology in the controller just is not worth the price. Sure it’s got a nice design as far as the button feel and grips, etc., but there was better technology in the base controllers of consoles that were made 20 years ago. It uses cheap technology in the analog sticks that they already know causes stick drift, and isn’t any better than a cheap third-party controller. There is no pressure sensitive triggers (standard from Xbox and PlayStation). There’s no other gimmicks like a trackpad or motion sensing controls. Nintendo knowingly took a controller that should be priced at about 30 bucks and jacked the price up to $85 because it has a Nintendo logo on it. Both Sony and Xbox have far superior controllers for a lower price. All Nintendo would need to do is sell the GameCube design controller in stores for $60, with a few color options, and allow button mapping/ native configuration when using the GameCube controller, and I would definitely choose that over this. It has a fine feels pretty straightforward. Analog sticks feel better than the original pro controller but it really isn’t anything special people. If you just take everything Nintendo dishes out to you, then they’ll think they don’t have to serve anything better.

These are softer and more comfortable then the first Switch Pro controllers. The buttons stick out more and are softer to press. Two new programable middle finger triggers were added underneath. GL and GR, left and right side.

I kept debating wherther i should get a switch 2 pro controller or a switch 1 controller, the s2 option has much better build quality, worth the price difference! (I dont like how much nintendo decided to charge for it though, buy it if u have the spare cash)
