This controller is a little on the expensive side but it is way better built and more reliable than 3rd party ones... buy once cry once!

This controller is slick, plays good, feels good, and the battery is great. The Dpad is so much better than the Switch 1 pro controller. Nintendo hit a home run with this controller.

Super comfortable controller especially for bigger hands and compared to joycons which can make my thumb hurt over time due to their slight rigidity. Love the matte black/grey look as well. Feels higher quality and less “clicky” than the Switch 1 pro controller (I have the Zelda TOTK version for reference). More comfortable than a Xbox One controller which I didn’t think was possible. Buttons are really soft to the touch and when pressing. While I haven’t used the button mapping for the additional buttons on the back of the handles I’m sure that’s a nice feature for competitive gamers. A little pricey for $85 but I think they increased by $5 due to tariffs and I ended up getting it for Member Price of $75 and am happy with it.

It’s small but much better than using the joycons. I don’t think it offers anything that justifies the price however.

My first words out of the box were, “Wow, it’s beautiful!” Immediately noticeable is the lovely matte surface of the controller. My hands tend to sweat a lot when I hold controllers, and this one’s seat resistance is magnificent. It just cleans right off and never feels sticky or clammy. The new control sticks have the lightest and smoothest feel to them; almost like they’re floating. And the battery life! I played over 30 hours of Mario Kart before the battery even started showing signs of draining. Do you NEED this controller if you have Switch 1 Pro Controllers that you can use instead? No, it’s true that you don’t, and for that reason, my daughter told me she didn’t want one. But being a cool dad, I bought one for her anyway, and now it’s the only controller she’ll use. It’s just such a lovely upgrade in all the right ways. You’ll see that as soon as you’re holding it in your hands.

Now this is a controller! The Pro Controller for Switch 2 w chat button is a must for the gamers not in complete control w joycons. It is comfortable to hold and easy to use. The chat button added allows real time conversation with other gamers. Highly recommended!

Very good controller. The back buttons are nice but it would be ideal if nintendo would have included 4 buttons instead of 2

Excellent ergonomics and feel, the quality is unmatched.

This controller is totally worth it! It is unbelievably smooth and responsive. Definitely worth the money. For reference, I have the Xbox Elite 2 and the Dualsense and this controller rivals them in feel and responsiveness.

The weight and material make this controller great to hold and is a great addition to your switch 2

Controllers these days are only becoming more expensive, but I will say this controller at least checks all the boxes. And the employees in Best Buy are always so helpful!!

While it is a bit trivial by Nintendo to make it impossible to turn on the S2 console with the S1 pro controller, the S2 pro is better than its predecessor in every sense of the word
