I ordered this and expected it to be a mediocre console like all the other ones, basic graphics and functions. It turns out that this little tablet thing with red and blue remotes is much more than that! I’ve been playing on it for about 8 days now and I’m finding it difficult to put down to do something else, and thanks to its portable function, I can hook it up to my tv, or take it with me

Great quality and easy to use! Bought this for my little cousin as a Christmas present and he loves it! Great to use with the whole family and also by yourself if playing online.

tldr; Get this, don't get the Switch Lite. It is a great system for almost any type of gamer. I've been a console gamer since 1984 when my parents bought me an Atari 2600. Most of my life I was a die-hard Nintendo fan. While my gaming preferences have evolved over the last 10-15 years (PlayStation fanboy nowadays) I've still owned every Nintendo (and Xbox) system that's been released, even if they were primarily played by my boys. This Switch however is MINE (my son has had one since launch.) I love that it is a cross between a portable and a console. I love that I can play it on the go, or during downtime in another game (ie; waiting for a party to fill in Final Fantasy XIV.) 32GB is NOTHING so make sure to pick up a micro SD card right away (still mad that Sony mad the Vita memory cards proprietary) And if you're like me and prefer to buy digital games vs physical, be warned that it will need a quick internet check each time you start a game (which tbh, there may be a workaround that I haven't looked into yet) which was a bummer when I was planning on playing some Smash Bros. on a recent flight but couldn't... If you are trying to decide between this and the Switch Lite - Get this model! The flexibility of being able to detach the Joy-Cons and to play it seamlessly on your TV is WELL worth the extra cost.

The games are engaging and intuitive, fun to play on the television or using the hand-held device. I understand why this was so difficult to obtain early in the lock down

The Switch is extremely nice for the fact that it goes from being stationary to mobile, all with extreme convenience. The portable game pad is a great feature, and the games that are out for it already are great.

I kind of felt like Nintendo had lost its way over the past few years, but this console is really cool. It is very easy to use and innovative in its design. Also, it just works. I wouldn’t use it so much for online gaming. Nintendo is still working that out. However, it’s the best travel console hands down. The way it is designed really scratched my “gadget itch”. Lots of cool little peripherals and ways to use the console. Highly recommended!

The swicth is such a gem. The nintendo exclusive games are honestly underrated by so many and the hybrid design is incredibly ingenuitive. I ended up using the handheld mode almost as much as the docked mode, while still in my own home. Highly recommend. (It is heavily roumered Nintendo will be releasing an "upgraded" version of the switch early 2021. So if you are on the fence it might be worth it to wait) This was out of stock everywhere for so long this year. I checked multiple retailers often to try and get one for months. I was finally able to order one from Best Buy so I was very pleased.

A great gaming system that work as well connected to your tv as gaming on the go. The batter while on the go last for a long time and easily dock the system to switch to your TV.

Switched up from the switch lite back to the normal switch. Why? Screen size! I missed the screen size immensely playing my fav game of nba 2k! You dont realize the little extra you get vs the lite makes a world of diffrence. Screen looks amazing runs flawlessly and comfortable in your hands. Seemlessly connects to wifi and now a uodate makes it bluetooth compatible with wireless headphones. Amazing games to play on this switch and i use it 90% handheld but nice have option to put on tv. Battery life on this is outstanding way better then first model and then the lite. I can actually play graphic heavy games and not feel like i need to have a cord by me after a few hours. Why didnt i just wait for oled model? 1. Most oled screens ive ever had got burn in. 2. This "old" model has the better larger battery that the new oled model will have but that fancy screen will def drain it faster so your essentially going to swap a fancier screen thats only better in handheld mode for worse battery life. 3. I didnt want a handheld to be partially white as itll easily show wear and dirt. 4. Its even more expensive by 50 bucks and didnt see the value in paying almost 400 bucks and the fact you prob wont get hands on one anytime soon unless you preordered one.

Very fun to play even with people who aren't good at video games. You don't have to be good to have fun on the Switch and most games are really easy to learn. Best to get a full size controller because the small ones get stick drift very easy.

I have loved every second of owning this console. I got it during the start of the pandemic and battled with thousands to get one and finally did after almost 2 weeks of trying with zoolerts and other stock alert sites... Plus refreshing the page frequently on multiple stores with electronic departments. Anyways I don't regret a moment of buying this. Very worthwhile especially at a time like now where I need to be home and focus on something else other than the world. My only regret is not preordering the ACNH special edition switch before it became impossible to get one with people inflating the prices for gain...

I bought the console as a Christmas present for my son. We have two Wii and Nintendo DS that we have been using for years. The Nintendo Switch can be used like the DS, like a tablet or like the Wii. The controllers are like wiimote, they are aware of your movements, vibrate and make sounds but are way smaller. The "controllers" can be used like one big controller or two independent wiimote... to convert the former to the later it is like playing lego, you dissemble them. Every time, I hope I do not break them in the process because they are not cheap to replace. I wish that there was some form of backward compatibility but no. The wii games format is DVD, the DS some big cards and Switch another format... no way to reuse games from one console to another. We have bought three games and they are fun to play. Resolution is better and more playable. Versatile is what I liked, I can play on the TV or in the car. Not super impressed with the games yet... I found the console expensive when not on sale... Also be aware that if you have more than one kid, they might want each of them their own console. It is a good console for family games. Nintendo has a lot of options for kids and preteens. I will continue to use the WIi but I will not buy wii games equivalent on the switch. If you have a Wii and DS, try it before buying it. If you do not have a wii, buy it...
