This is a great gaming console/device. It is extremely portable, without sacrificing content or quality (unlike the DS, which is strictly handheld). My daughter is so excited about it, because she loves gaming all over the house, not mentioning the convenience for long road trips.

Amazing Nintendo device very fun and easy to use, portable, and yet can also be used on TV! Kid Friendly!

I grew up playing Nintendo, and steered away from it... I like the convenience of taking the unit with you..ie”portable”... picture quality on both TV and handheld” can’t wait for super smash bros on this device.. have MC8, SF2, BM, &Pokemon Battle... no regrets again great quality

The Nintendo switch is hands down my favorite system. I have purchased multiple for family members and have recommended to all my friends. Its so user friendly, has a bunch of unique games and is the only system I use anymore.

I have been a long time gamer and I currently own a Xbox X and a PS4 Pro and I really never thought about buying a Switch until recently. I found it more intriguing than the Wii but I wasn't sure it was for me and my typical gaming preferences. I figured if I wanted to play something on the go, or play for a quick few minutes, I would just use my iPad or phone. However, I soon got tired of most iPad/phone games being 'free' games with a ton of ads or having to pay micro-transactions to do anything. I much prefer just paying once upfront for a game and not be held back by not paying money. Also, very few of those games I found I enjoyed for any amount of time. So as I thought about it I started to think how nice it would be to have a console-like experience on the go or just something I could pick up to play for 10 minutes anywhere in the house. So after about a week or so of consideration, and reading a couple recent articles of why people love their Switch, I decided that it might be something that would fill the gaming 'gap' So I picked up a Switch and I have owned it for about 3-4 weeks now and I have enjoyed it. I have only used it as a portable and have not hooked it up to the large TV yet. Like I had envisioned it is great to sit on the couch and get in a few minutes of Zelda, or some other game, without going to the other TV and fire up one of the consoles. I look forward being able to bring it on the plane as well instead of having to play Candy Crush or some other lame game to waste time. So here are what I see being a few pluses and minuses: Pluses: +portability - it's best feature! +better games than what can be had on other portable devices +very quick start-up/load times +comes with the dock to play on the TV. Most companies (i.e. Apple or Microsoft) would probably have charged separately for it. +quality first party games (Zelda, Mario, etc) Minuses: - battery life is okay at about 2.5 - 3 hrs - need to buy another power supply if you don't want to always charge it in the dock. Otherwise you have to unplug the dock to bring the cable to charge it somewhere else. - need a screen protector and a carrying case - screen could be a tad higher resolution - charging port on the bottom is not a great design choice if you want to charge and play - Charging cable could be longer for charging while playing - Charging cable plug could have been smaller and with retractable prongs so it is easier to pack on the go - Kickstand when not playing as a handheld is flimsy. Why didn't they at least add a second one or put a wider one in the middle? So while there are more 'minuses' they are not deal breakers and are more observances/annoyances than anything. So overall the Switch is a great for those that are used to a high end gaming experience but want something portable. I will say though that if I had to choose 1 of the 3 consoles to play, all things equal, the Switch would be 3rd on the list. However, the Switch versus other portable options it would be 1st by a landslide.

I've been holding off on buying a Nintendo console since my Wii died several years ago, but after a recent splurge, I regret not getting this sooner. The portability is a feature I never knew I needed. Awesome product so far!

This was the best purchase ever!! I’ve bought several game systems for my son but this is the one he plays all the time. In fact we sold his Xbox one because he didn’t want to play that anymore!! He loves this Switch!!

Love this. We take it everywhere and have big game nights at the house with friends and it’s a blast.

A great buy. Fun for the entire family at home or on the go. An extremely versatile system. The dock mode allows games to be played on the tv and handheld mode is good for the go. The switch has games for both kids and adults a like.

Very easy to hook up if you’re patient and follow the printed and on-device instructions. Also downloaded a digital game that was also easy for this senior citizen to do. Got to keep up with the children, and grandchildren!

It’s very accessible. Love that I can use it anywhere.

I like it that you can have 2 people play or a single player. My 6 year old likes it.

I was holding back for long on getting this and then the pandemic hit and this is the best purchase i have made this year! It has been keep me entertained and i love that you can make it portable or hook it up for big screen game play!

Good size screen and perfect for portable play. Decent battery life. I recommend getting a storage box for all the parts, cords and games. Can see why it’s always sold out. Kind of pricey but there’s nothing out there like it.

Love this console! Very portable, Can take anywhere, but still can easily connect to your tv using the included dock. I recommend using the Nintendo Switch Pro controller with this for wireless controller instead of the joycons.

The benefit of being able to take this anywhere and play is great. I ended up buying an SD card and power bank to increase the portability. With more 3rd party games, all Nintendo needs is better a better online service and a virtual console. I would definitely recommend to others.

This Switch has exceeded my expectations. It is extremely versatile, as you can play it hooked up to a TV or as a handheld device. Extremely clever idea for a game system and well executed—I haven’t had a single problem with my Switch.

It was tough to get ahold of one of these bad boys during this COVID-19 situation. Somehow I was able to get one and have been loving it since! Who needs to socialize with actual humans when you can just play Animal Crossing by yourself?

Waited 4 months to get. .. Wu virus blew these thing off shelves.. gave my original ( launch day switch) To my daughter for college.. so been shopping Best Buy for 4 months !! Finally I was quick enough with finger to get one ..
