Great gaming system, long lasting battery for controllers, good quality for portable gaming screen

Will have to wait till Christmas to see how works. However from the reviews I think he is going to have so much fun with this.

You kidding me? Nintendo making a TV console that turns into a portable console seamlessly? The best Zelda and Mario games this generation? How are you still reading this review? Get it! Nintendo did it again. After the flop of the Wii U, this console is a mastapiece. Every time I hear about a new game that's coming out, I secretly hope it's coming out on Switch, because it's all I want to play now. It's such an incredible piece of hardware. Transitioning from handheld to TV mode and vice versa are as effortless and seamless as all the promotional material makes it out to be. Brilliant. Using it in handheld mode, it doesn't feel too big, nor too heavy. TV mode offers the HD quality that is standard in the industry, no more lagging behind à la Wii U. The OS feels smooth and responsive, fits the console perfectly. Bottom line: get it. This is a triumph for Nintendo, and a triumph for gaming period. And get Breath of the Wild and SM Odyssey! Do it! Now if we can just get the Big N to figure out how to do online gaming / chat like everyone else, and to stop putting motion controls in everything, we'd have ourselves a gaming utopia.

This was a gift for my nephew and he loves it. He legit does not put it down until it’s time to sleep.

My son had the opportunity to play at his friends house enjoyed this system. It was a must have for this years Christmas gift!

Pros: Playing while waiting in line to get my haircut, or getting an oil change, or dropping the kids off at the pool, or in bed is amazing and hard to beat. The body is solid and well made. The same with the joycons. When they are attached it feels comfortable to play. We rarely play while using the included joycon "dog" control. Instead we use a Pro Controler (recommend). Not sure if thats a pro/con since it comes with the system. The set up was quick and easy. The OS is responsive, clean, and friendly to use. The online store is much better than the Wii U's and very straight forward. Battery life last for as long as i've been playing. I charge it in between (may be an issue for others). The games that are currently available are great (Zelda, Snipper clips, Human resource machine, graceful explosion machine, and blaster master, are what we have). Once Mariokart launches at the end of this month the switch will be even better as I had a friend a joycon to play. :) Cons. Library is still new (but there are new GOOD releases almost weekly or bi-weekly). The kickstand is flimsy and unreliable. You cannot charge it naively while in table top mode. No virtual console yet.

Great games great graphics. I wish it cost less. The portability is wonderful. My family loves it!

We searched for a long time to find one. We finally got it and within the first 2 days the left Joy-con did not work anymore. Would not be recognized and would not sync up. Had to send it to Nintendo for a repair. Other than that, it's been fun.

My family and I love the Switch. It is a dynamic console that my entire family can enjoy together both at home and on the go!
