Nintendo's Consoles have always done very well in my opinion. whether for home or handheld, In an age of xbox and PS4 quality fans like myself would justify the purchase of a nintendo system because of the great franchises under the Nintendo banner. This time around there a ton os triple A games available for the Switch. Its really cool to play home console quality games on the go.

Purchased this unit for my son's birthday. He's had chances to play with his friends on their consoles many times and they always have a great time playing together. the console is so portable and easy to connect to any modern TV with HDMI inputs, so not many cables to bring along. Plus they can use multiple controllers on one unit so many can play a game together. So far everything looks great, all parts were included and setup was easy enough such that he started playing his games in about 30 minutes after opening the box. Obviously specific to Nintendo games, but there are so many to choose from that are fun to play. Can buy the cartidges/memory cards or you can download games (for same price). Note that if you want to download more than one game, you'll need to purchase a SD memory card to store them on. Memory card prices have come down so much over the years, that you can get high capacity cards for nominal prices. Graphics are great even on very large screen TVs.

I admit, I was highly skeptical of the Switch at first. As someone with a PS4 and gaming PC, I didn't think I needed another gaming device. I also didn't think the mobile aspect of the Switch would be too useful for me. I was very wrong. After picking the Switch up in December, it has quickly become my favorite platform for gaming. The ability to pick up and play full games on the go is amazing and has come in handy more times than I would have expected. The fact that you can turn on the Switch instantly and play short gaming sessions here and there makes it similar to a smartphone, except these games are actually good instead of most filler phone games. Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey are joys to play. As AAA games become increasingly bloated with unnecessary features and tedious game play, it is nice to play games that are just FUN again. Everything about the Switch, from the OS, to the games, to the hardware works smoothly and simply. I haven't owned a Nintendo system since the SNES, but the Switch has made me a Nintendo fan again. Well done!
