Customers are delighted by the Switch 32GB Console's portability and the wide variety of games available. Many appreciate the console's fun factor, handheld design, and battery life. However, some users wish for more storage space and find the controllers somewhat uncomfortable. The console's size and build quality are also frequently praised.

This console is great and compact. The graphics are a definite improvement but still behind the PS and XBOX (but you aren’t buying this for the graphic quality). All of the games are awesome and look great. Once a larger library of games is available, it will make this system even better. The controllers work well right out of the box (didn’t need a charge). The only issue is having to charge the controllers. It does not come with a charge ability unless it is plugged into the console which then requires it to be plugged into the dock to play games. There is only the one power cord to use if you take it out to play on the go. I definitely recommend buying the chargeable controller when you buy the switch.

So far love this console! You can play retro games with your subscription. You will NEED an SD card to get more than 2-3 games. I wouod also recommend buying a controller that is easier to use and changing the controls in settings. Overall fun fun

If you got the 2nd iteration of the console (indicated by the background color on the box is completely red), you can pretty much play this for 5-6 hours as opposed to 2-3. Totally worth it, even if you have the first generation model that has its own secret perks if it's a launch model. Personally, I'd still choose this over the Lite model since you get a lot of value for $300. A set of Joycons are $80, and the dock itself is $60, and you're getting all of these right out of the box. Plus you still have the option of playing your games on the big screen. The only tradeoff is the console's LCD isn't as good as the Lite's.

As of this writing, 12/15/17, there are not many game options. They have a few good games at launch, like zelda and Mario, but are missing a variety of 3rd party games. While this is no suprise, as it never is with Nintendo, it is more noticible since the games we got are rereleases that have been out for some time. Hopefully the line up will get more inclusive with time. Beyond the games, the hardware is great. The controller is a large step up from the wiiu gamepad despite being similar in design. Since the controllers charge while the machine is docked, we have had no issues with needing to stop playing to charge. We seem to get about 3 to 4 hours from the tablet portion when it is off the dock.

I played video games as a child with a DS or a game boy or a game cube and i felt the switch was similar and the best of both worlds! For someone who isnt super familar with video games, it was fairly easy to figure out how to use.

I have PS2 and Wii. I have played on PS3 and Xbox at friends' places. But Switch is so different! Small console, very portable, easy to set up. Very few wires. Sleek controllers. Superb battery life.

I purchased my first Switch system 2 years ago. My kids love playing on it, and with us always being on the go, my husband and I can now play video games again. We take the system just about everywhere we go; in hopes that we get a few min. to sit and play a game. I bought another switch system for my sister’s kids for Christmas this year. My one nephew is getting ready to have major surgery, and this will come in handy keeping the kids occupied as they travel back and forth to and from the hospital leading up to the surgery as well as allow my nephew to play video games while he stays in the hospital.

I started on a game boy pocket when I was 4, and I knew about the great home consoles, such as the PlayStation and the n64. But what blew me away was the fact that I could take games on the go and play them whenever I go...as long as the batteries lasted. I didn't care it was greyscale colors or that it didn't even come with a built in light; that made it more of a fun challenge riding in the car after sunset. Now the switch is combining what I loved or portable gaming with the power of current home gaming. And yes it doesn't output 4K. I don't care, cuz the 1080p on my tv AND even the 720p on its own screen still look great! Yes it only has 32 GB storage built in (25.9 after UI), but the cartridges are just like the game boy games and save them on tonthe catridge. Again the benefits of portable gaming. And yes we'll grow out the battery issue into the battle field here. 2.5-6 hours...I don't care! Because this gives me a good reminder when I run low on battery to let it charge and I can go do somwtrhing else instead of being staying inside he whole time. Nintendo encourages gaming with friends and even doing other things with friends as well. Plus I love the joy cons! Easy to use and switch around and the dock works well too. Kickstand really helps for gaming on the go and sharing as well. Kudos nintendo! And can't wait for the great announced games either.

I was not expecting much when I decided to try out the Nintendo Switch. In my mind Nintendo was trying something "new" like they have with their last few generations of consoles. I am glad to say that this time it really paid off. They did really well with the seemlessly switching between the bigscreen and the screen on the tablet for on the go play. The graphics are also very stunning from what I saw while playing Breathe of the Wild and 1 2 Switch. Which brings me to my next point, though the console does everything it says it does very well, the Joy-cons, don't worry they do everything they said they would do, are a little awkward to use. Even with the nice dock that you can use while playing on the big screen is a little awkward. Some of the buttons, specifically the + and - buttons are to close to other buttons or sticks and make them awkward to hit, or you hit the wrong button frequently. On top of that I don't know if many game developers will actually incorporate some of the gimicks of the Joy-Con. I mean the HD rumble sticks in the controllers were really cool when they were use in 1 2 Switch, but I can't really see many developers having a use for them, though this is just purely speculation. Finally the Joy-Cons have a single fault in my opinion. They must have an unobscured line of sight to the switch console or they will stop responding properly. There were various times where I had my feet up or my knee blocking the controllers direct path, because who doesn't like to get comfy while playing a game, and the joy-con stopped responding to my inputs or continues with my last input. This caused me to walk off of a few cliffs as well as die to a couple of moblins, but this also isn't the worst thing in the world either. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing the Switch, and like I said I really was not expecting the machine that I got to play.

Been thinking about getting this item since it first came out. This purchase was made for my son, but my wife and I play it as well. Great games and the fact that it can travel with you is a plus.
