I'm mainly buying this for splatoon, mario kart 8, and the upcoming smash bros. While cheap, what's offered isn't amazing. But a few quality of life features like cloud saves being paywalled kinda sucks. Voice chat is a refractory experience if you intend to actually use. I'm still gonna recommend it if you wanna use online, but it feels kinda late to be rolling this out.

I'd recommend buying this from Best Buy, rather than the eShop. You get MyBest Buy points alongside your purchase. Only downside is the wait for it to arrive to your email. It is quick, but not instant. Understandable.

My biggest complaint is how things are locked behind the NSO subscription. The emulator experiences shouldn't be limited to indefinitely renting them for a fee. Otherwise, it's a barebones experience for online gaming, but the price is good for a group of people.

Get access to some classic games and still working to learn about all of the benefits.

It works, but it all depends on the value. If you have a full family, it's worth it, but you have to know how to set it all up too. Nintendo's network sucks and does not allow sharing of any digital content properly anyways... It's pretty much a necessary evil for Nintendo.

Great thing about Switch Family membership is up to 8 people can be put onto the account. So that is 8 separate devices that can use this membership. So it's a great way to split this amount among family and friends

Got this with a free 128gb Micro sd card for 35. Not bad!

Perfect for my family. Having 2 kids with switches along with owning one myself, this family option works great. Couple that with the fact that my purchase came with a 128gb memory card, I couldn’t pass this up.

After the first year, I can say that it was worth buying it for a second year. Nintendo online works pretty well when it comes to the older games. I enjoy the fact that you can buy this in a digital version.

Was able to redeem the annual 12 month family membership right away on my nintendo account. Had no trouble applying it, just make sure you turn off auto renew!

This is a great affordable feature if you are a fan of the legacy Nintendo games. I've been able to go back and play some of the games I enjoyed as a kid from the 90's. My kids are not interested in the older games due to the lack of fancy graphics. However, I still believe it is a great value.

I buy the membership from best buy to get points for reward certificates. It's a better deal to me rather than getting it through the Nintendo e-store. It came fast in the email and worked like a charm.

You can't beat the value here. $35 for 8 online accounts (can be used on different Switch's in different locations). The subscription allows for playing online and also comes with the "virtual console" games for the NES and SNES.

Bought it so every individual in my house can go on the online shop / play online games vs others. I know all the consoles have online subscriptions. The only gripe I have with this family plan is that the single online plan should allow others on the same console to access the online games/library.

The kids really seem to enjoy this. As long as they're happy, it's worth it.

If you have a family with multiple Nintendo Switches and want to use online then this is the way to go. I waited to buy my 12 month membership until it came with a free memory card.
