Ok, so the games aren't free, they are part of your subscription. But, considering how cheap the online membership is, I consider the games icing on the cake. While I still wish voice chat was part of the package, using the phone app isn't that inconvenient. Lack of voice chat is what makes this a 4 start review instead of 5.

Good value for the card but you have to sign up for the auto renewal. Make sure you know when it will auto renew if you plan on getting another card.

Even tho Nintendo's Online infrastructure isn't at the level of Sony or Microsoft its cheaper and offers the basic function of playing games online and cloud saves so you never lose your progress.

Best Buy has deals sometimes where you can get another gift card with the purchase of this. If you have Netflix anyway, it’s great to take advantage of a promo where you get an extra item and then just put the Netflix card as prepayment towards your service.

The NES and SNES libraries so far are the saving grace for the Switch. I haven't been impressed with the first- party line up but I may just be a product of my time.

I bought it for my son for his Nintendo Switch. It allowed him to download games from the Nintendo Online system so if it met what was expected and highly recommended.

It is what it is. Not too much is available for the Nintendo Switch online, so I believe that it's priced fairly. I really wish we could chat with people through the game, but the app is suffice enough...I guess.

As of this writing, there has been many games added to the NSO NES library and Tetris 99 added to the value of the Nintendo Switch Online Service. However, there's still a lot of room to grow as the companion app hasn't been touched in some time and it's not compatible for a lot of multiplayer online games. Also, the backend networking is hit or miss depending on the game you're playing and matchmaking connection to the other player. Games like Rocket League and Fortnite works as intended most of the time, while Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Splatoon 2 can have variations in experience. In it's current state, after months being being a paid service, I can not recommend the service to people as a whole. To summarize, there are good and bad things going on overall with Nintendo's online service, and the bad could be remedied over time.
