I personally think the Same is a waste of money. But my kids wanted one. I bought the online pass and set it up on my account because Nintendo makes you set up an account as the administrator then add your kids. Well now they have to play on my account. I don't care because I don't play on the switch but they already had progress under their own names.

But that's it. Unfortunately right now there isn't much Online has uses for.

It’s fun to play with your friend online. I have an Xbox and PlayStation and this more affordable.

the purchase was fueled solely by the need to play smash online since a majority of my friends live across the US. As a service I have to pay for I find the nintendo online service to be lack luster and a blatant cash grab. I have experienced similar amounts of lag as i did on the WII U for smash, splatoon, and mario kart. The complementary NES games only serve as a reminder the vastly superior virtual console won't be returning with its library. The cloud save bit is neat except the fact that not all games get backed up and there isn't local back ups available. it isn't worth 20 dollars a year, it isn't worth 4 dollars a month, it isn't worth your time, but if you want to play smash brothers online with friends then it is a requirement. Though maxing out the number of the people on the family plan is a much more worth while venture, but a word of warning there is no discount from nintendo if you want to upgrade to the family plan from an individual.

Inexpensive cost for the amount of content you get on the Switch store! Love the retro games.

The Nintendo switch online card is a good purchase if you or your kids play the switch online.

$20 bucks is cheap for the online experience and all the best for games that come with it.

It finally happened, Nintendo sunk to the levels of PS+ and Xbox Live and started charging players for online play, something that used to be free until Microsoft came along and somehow figured out how to get $9.99 a month for the privilege to play on some of the worst servers of all time. Also the only way to save your games on the ever elusive “cloud” is paying for this service, oh but not all games can be saved on the cloud because it’s too easy to hack Nintendo games like Splatoon 2 with a modded Switch. But hey, it’s cheap right? And you get a couple NES games that you’ve either already paid for on another Nintendo system, or that you’ve never heard in your entire life. Real good stuff guys.
