Adding online play for $20na year is worth it. Addition of access to the growing classics library is even better.

Personally, I think that the online features should be free, due to how limited these features are. "Friend ID's" are just silly. You should be able to look up a friend with their username. This has been the norm since the introduction of online gaming. So, I'm not sure why Nintendo would want to implement a 12 digit string that no-one will remember. If you are into the retro games that you get, with this purchase, then I would say it's worth the price. But, for the clunky Nintendo online setup, I stand by my initial statement of, "It should be free."

I bought this as a gift for my granddaughter. She loves the online so much, I'm going to get one for myself.

Cheap online gaming service. Love that it gives you access to old Nintendo games. Definitely recommend it.

Its good to play online, personally I dont like that they charge you for that, but it is what it is

There was a sale for breath of the wild around Black Friday but I didn’t buy a copy and I’m just waiting for a sale because i refuse to pay $60 for a game that’s almost 4yrs old. No Nintendo no.

While the Nintendo online network is laughable and an embarrassment to a major video game maker such as themselves, the classic service you get with this is great. Need to add more games and especially from the SNES, N64, and GameCube era

For what you receive, this is a mixed bag. The cloud saves are nice if you are worried of losing data. IF you want to play online, it is a must. The rest of the features are sort of ho hum.

This was a great idea court my daughter. She has access to many free as well as reduced price games.

One year online service cheap. Worked fine. Cheaper to buy the year then the other subscriptions.

I was recommended buying the membership from another friend who owned a switch, for only $20 to get many online benefits that I have yet to utilize doesn't sound too bad but may not be necessary when first purchasing the console.

If you have the switch you must buy the online membership to get the full benefit of the system.

Opens many new ways to expand the fun and joy of games on the Nintendo switch. GO FOR IT!

I purchased this scratch off refill... and the code was illegible. I scratched it off exact same way had done a hundred time with other scratch off cards.. something about the code printed underneath had blended with the material you have to scratch off and what remained was smudged badly or just missing. I had to randomly guess what was there eventually after hours of trying got code that worked. DO NOT RECOMEND

I scratched the back for the access code and the last 3 digits/numbers got scratched off as well! Unable to use it. Can anyone at best buy help me with a solution to this?????

Kind of a necessity if you want to play certain games and have access to more features

Nintendo's Online Service is awful. Just awful. I have gigaspeed fiber internet and an ethernet attachment for my Switch, so trust me when I say this service is only worth getting if you want to play some old SNES and NES game, or wanna play Splatoon and Smash online and deal with the awful connections. Not all games require it, Fortnite doesn't, so don't buy this unless you have too.

Great way to buy online switch games. Somethings they games you can only get online.

$20 for a year you can go wrong. Just not much use for it right now. Only a handful of nes games to play at the moment, hopefully snes games will be added soon. Also backs up some of your game saves to cloud.

I bought it because I want to get the most out of my Switch, but Nintendo's online service offering is very lacking. WHERE IS THE VIRTUAL CONSOLE??
