I can’t comment on the quality of the service, this review is for the card. The coating that covers the code is very difficult to scrape off. As the card is cardboard material, when the coating finally did rub off, part of the code rubbed off and the code became impossible to decipher. Contacting customer service to see if we can either get a new card or if there is a different way to access the code...

I purchased this for my son for Christmas. When he scratched the back off the barcode where the numbers were scratched off. He couldn’t use the code because we couldn’t read the letters. I took this back to Best Buy and they couldn’t do anything for me they told me to contact Nintendo directly. It was a waste of money for me! Cards must’ve been old in order for that to happen.

3 months of online play. Thats all i needed it for.

It’s not Best Buy’s fault but wow to play online you have to pay after you already have Nintendo your money!!! I am contributing to the problem

Cheaper than xbox live for a whole year. Wish i would of got the one for up to 8 accounts though. Oh well still good!

Nintendo's Switch Online service is somewhat controversial as prior to this Nintendo has not charged for online multiplayer and it offers NES games as part of the service instead of allowing you to buy them. However, if you have a Switch and want to play online or play these classic games this is the only way to do it at the moment. It's affordable, at the very least.

This turned out to be a very frustrating gift. It was made out of cardboard, so when my daughter tried to scratch of the coating to get the entry code, the entry code came off right along with it and both Best Buy and Nintendo said they couldn't do anything about it....very frustrating and a bit ridiculous on both of their parts!!!

I don’t really understand how to use it. It was hard to connect to the switch as well

I personally believe should be a standard feature for gamers, but I have no choice but to recommend it because we unfortunately have to pay for a feature that used to be free on previous consoles.

When we scratched off the back, the code came off with it. We went back to the store and they were so rude. Had our receipt too. Luckily Nintendo customer service was able to help.

I didn't work at all it was a waste of money I would not recommend it unless it had more instructions on it I would have bought a game for the switch if I had known

The car didn't work. And Best Buy. couldn't resolve the issue. They gave me a number to call.

Get the Digital, my code got scratched right off without effort

You want Switch online, you buy this. That’s about all there is to say.

I had gotten the card and it was defective , the code didn’t work . I had called and they said they were going to call back in a hour and they called but then they hung up the call with me talking . I haven’t gotten a return call and the card still doesn’t work !

I was lied to and told that this was how you purchased the account for each member... that’s not true! It’s more expensive and you can purchase the family plan (again cheaper) online! Now there’s no way to return so my money is just gone!
