For $20 you unlock online play. But even better than that you also get access to a huge library of NES and SNES titles. This access alone is worth the $20 / year.

I bought the Nintendo Membership because of Mario Kart at the time. I was playing Mario a lot during that time and it is worth it if you play online gaming. However, it's not worth it if you don't play online gaming. Since my pass expired last year, I haven't renewed it and haven't been playing games against other people. Otherwise it is good for someone who likes to play against others.

Comes in 40$ cheaper than the other console online memberships. No voice chat but for 19.99 you get the year and a library of free games from NES and SNES.

This annual price is easily worth the gaming options it opens up. My favorite three games that use online are Smash Bros, Tetris 99 and Minecraft Dungeons.

I'd pay $20 alone just for Tetris 99 so Nintendo online is definitely worth the investment. Free classic games and I can play Smash Bros online with my friends, awesome.

This membership will give you 12 months of access to the Nintendo Switch Online world, allowing you to play multiplayer games and access emulations of past Nintendo classics. I see a lot of people complaining in the reviews that this is limited to one account, but it is clearly stated that this is an individual membership. Family memberships are available for sale for a little bit extra, allowing up to 8 users to have access.

way better to get the 12 month membership because of the small price difference compared to the 3 month membership. easy to use and set up
