Fun for the whole family

If you have kids this is definitely the console to purchase if you plan on playing with them. I'm not much of a fan of the button layout on the tablet or pro controller they feel backwards to me, but overall I'm very happy with it and my kids are too.

Especially like the fact that it is reverse compatible with already owned Wii games and the fact that the older controllers work on it. No need to purchase additional "tablet" controllers; you can use the older ones.

it's okay for kids.

Better for younger children

This was a better purchase since Nintendo locked in The original characters early on. They mostly run the show when till it comes to games for kids. If you are wondering what to buy between theses the wii u is the better option.

The Wii U is no exception and while the Mario Kart just seems like a rehash of the one from the original Wii, I love it. Additionally it is the only console that my wife and kids will play (we have a PS4 and a PS3 as well).

Great for casual gaming and then even hardcore gaming when it comes to LoZ and Bayonetta. All around 10/10
