It may not be better than dark souls but it is certainly on an even playing field. If you are a fan of Dark Souls or Bloodborne than this game is a must have.

I bought this game along with The last Guardian, Battlefield 1, Horizon Zero Dawn and Ghost Recon Wildlands. I love all of them, but since I tried this one, I haven't really touched anything else, probably because once you attain any skill you need to keep it in use or risk losing your experience. I also have never played a demon/dark souls or Bloodborne game. Join GCU and get it for a great price and use your coupons to get the other games I mentioned.

If you have a PS4, you should buy this. If you do not have a PS4, you should buy this and a PS4.

Mix of Dark Souls like difficulty and Ninja Gaiden like gameplay. Definitely recommend.

Nioh is a tough RPG with similarities to games like Dark Souls, but that in no way makes it unoriginal. The combat system has multiple layers of complexity, the leveling system is vast and customizable to fit your play style, and there are hidden challenges around every corner. If you're looking for a "souls like" game with a little more focus on story, this is what you'll want.
