This is like Dark Souls, but with Samurai instead of knights

Love this game it gives me a great challenge and story!

An extremely fun action game that goes beyond being a "souls-like", striking it out on its own with a large number of fun weapon types and gameplay style options. Definitely play the DLC, some of the most fun historical writing I've ever seen.

I played this game to death when the beta was out, and got through the Last Chance Beta. When the full version was released I was excited to play to see the direction the story was going to go. It is a challenging game, and can't be gone through by simply button mashing. This is one of my favorite games of 2017 so far, and loving it.

It feels like souls game or bloodborne initially. As you level up your character, the pace of combat comes much faster and game feels more like ninja gaiden under hard mode. The story is based on some historical events in 16-17th century Japan. Lots of Japanese lore and myth. Overall, this is a must have game. Good work, team ninja!

Slow Fighting style combo gameplay game. Comparable to dark souls in many ways. Butbwith a more satisfying combat loop

I was really not expecting much with Nioh... Boy was I wrong! I’m a huge fan of Souls games and this just takes it to a different time period and with such craft and detail. This game at $19.99 when I picked it up makes me feel dirty. I feel like I should have paid full price. What a gem!

This is a fantastic game from Team Ninja, known for their Ninja Gaiden series. Although the action is slower paced than that series and more akin to the Dark Souls series, it is beautiful. The environments are dark and ominous with excellent gameplay to bring it all together with a really cool samurai flair. Love it!

Blew away my expectations. Great gameplay and story!

Must buy for any PS4 owner. Unique game, similar to the ninja gaiden series. It is a very hard and challenging game.

There is much more to this than how it's being described as a Dark Souls clone. It does have those elements, but it combines the greatest mechanics from not only Dark Souls, but from Ninja Gaiden (this is a Team Ninja game after all...) with the loot system from games like Diablo and Borderlands.
