Great Rugged Watch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall great watch but just a tad bit pricey. I work mostly with my hands and I really wanted a smart watch that I am not afraid to bump around and have around water. Battery life gets good when you have wifi and location services off. I switch it on when I want to receive notifications when I am not around my desk. Kind of a big watch but I got used to it after a week and I also have larger wrists. I will be trying it out on the slopes this coming winter.

This is not your watch if you are an iPhone user
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Asthetically - the Nixon Mission is second to none (in my opinion). Unfortunately, while it says it is IOS compatible.....that's a joke. The watch allows you to get notifications - but the ability to interact back (i.e. Voice text from the watch.....get any email other than gmail and respond....) just isn't available. I've found if I start iTunes from my phone I have the ability to pause and change songs - but in no way can I proactively browse music from the watch. Available apps are completely limited.....and again, those that are available have minimal to no interactive capability. I'd pay $250 for a good G-Shock and much more for a designer watch......so with 2-year warranty I have a really good looking $460 minimally functioning smartwatch........sigh......if you are an android user - rock on......

You get what you pay for
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After researching the Samsung Frontier S3 and the Nixon Mission, I chose to spend a little extra on the Nixon because it felt and looked like something I can wear for any occasion. You can feel the quality build in this watch and you don't have to be too cautious with it since it can handle most things. People will definitely notice it, not just because it's big, but because it looks so unique compared to other smartwatches. The battery life lasts a long time, I can get a day and a half with heavy usage. So far I don't have any complaints.

Are you in iOS user? Probably should wait.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This watch is fantastic, looks wise. However that's just about where it ends. Nixon does advertise that the watch works with iOS but unfortunately iOS make this watch unreliable and iOS also cripples the amazing functions that this watch is capable of. Setting up the watch is easy, download the androidwear app and you're more less running. The watch display is beautiful, the buttons are solid with good tactile feedback and the microphone mechanism on the side is really cool. Where the problem starts is that it is unreliable when it comes to notifications. I had many friends text me and many times the watch just wouldn't notify me of an incoming message. AND the vibration strength on this watch is laughably bad. When you do get notified of a message on your watch many times you will just miss it because the vibration is so weak you just won't feel it. My Apple Watch vibration is incredibly strong and I'm surprised that Nixon implemented weak vibration. I also want to say that it seems that iMessages suffered the most problems when I came to the message notification reliability. People who are on non-iPhones seem. to get through on the watch without much problems. Many of the applications I have my phone such as news outlets, pulse point, calendar, Facebook, etc. do seem to show up on the watch, but again going back to the vibration most often I just missed the notification.

Love it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My battery last two days on a charge. This thing is a tank. First smart watch I've liked. I would pick this over any others on the market at this time. I also have the Moto 2 and the Nixon is far superior!

Best watch so far
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought my mission to replace a Moto 360. At first battery life was short, but after using it for the past month the battery life has gotten longer. I work 16 hr days and battery won't go below 40%. Was worried about that at first, but glad it got a lot better. This watch surpasses all of my expectations. My Moto 360 battery would be dead after 16 hrs off the charger. Anyone complaining about the battery life hasn't given it a chance. Bare with it and you will see it get better. Not sure what has caused it to get better, but I am telling you it has.

Number 1 Android Watch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This watch is big but it'll no longer seem big after a few hours. Its kinda like buying a nice 4K 75" and up TV. When you first get it, the TV is large but after awhile its normal size. This watch is sporty, lightweight and no lag. It's extremely convenient to be at work and not have to check your phone for notifications. Easily my favorite purchase of 2016. Plus being able to get instant updates on drive times to home from work is amazing.

Waterproof but useless due to poor battery life
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this watch after finding that Samsung does not provide support for water damage on their Gear S2/S3 watches. I had purchased a Gear S2 and returned it because I wanted something that I wouldn't have to worry about drowning while washing my hands. This watch has that down in spades. It is very waterproof. The problem is that I never once had it last the full day since I bought it. I ended up returning it and getting a Gear S3 (which has a battery that lasts 2 days for me) and a protection plan to deal with water risks. Don't get me wrong, as far as other features are concerned, this watch worked as well as any other Android Wear watch, which is to say, quite well. Other than the lack of a heart-rate monitor its features were fine. It is just that it's lack of battery life made it useless for me.

Not that great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This watch has a few pros such as durability and size, but other than that, it sucks. The watch band is tiny. If you have bigger wrist, I guarantee this wont fit. I have smaller wrist and this band barely fit. One of the biggest cons is that you can't view text message conversations. Once you've read the text, it disappears. Apps like Facebook do not transfer over. In fact. none of my apps show up on this watch. The speaker IS NOT water proof. Before you get the watch wet, you must close the speaker on the left hand side. I wanted to like this watch because I love Nixon watches, but this watch really blows.

Best Android Wear Watch Yet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is solid! Don't be afraid of the size - it wears beautifully well. I'm a smaller person, but it works amazingly well on me. Great ergonomics, and insane smartwatch. I've had them all, and this is the best.

Badass
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A rugged smart watch, but snazzy enough to wear to dinners. Whether working on the construction site, or an afternoon dip in the pool this watch doesn't need to leave your wrist. Built to last, and the watch capabilities are countless with App's. I mostly like mine because I'm in engineering and construction, and the best uses are vibrations you can get for phone calls, text, emails, calendar events. Weather updates,GPS,compass, battery phone life, watch phone life, and all the fitness capabilities. One great rugged versatile smart watch. A bit pricey though.

Exceeded expectations
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using my new Nixon Mission for about 2 weeks and I am very happy with it. I wanted a smart watch but one from a watch manufacturer, not a TV manufacturer. The watch is very intuitive and looks like a traditional watch with all the "smart" features I was looking for.

DO NOT BUY THIS WATCH
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased my watch in January. Within 2 months the battery was going dead by 6 PM (12 hours of use). 4 months into owning the watch and I am lucky to get 6 hours of use before having to charge it. Nixon says I am running too many apps. Best Buy won't stand behind the product they are selling. Manufacturer is telling me to send my watch in so they are able to "Test" it and determine what is wrong. They are estimating 2 weeks before I get it back. DO NOT BUY THIS WATCH!!!

Never again
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this watch in April 2017. With in 5 months water was seeping through the back plate. I contacted Nixon and after paying to ship it there and back they fixed it under warranty. Fast forward to April 2018 the watch will not charge at all. All attempts to reach Nixon have been ignored. For a $400 watch this is unacceptible.

charging problem
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have returned two of these. They work for a little while, then the charging connectors on the back of the watch get scratched up and/or corrode, and the watch no longer charges. Performance was fine, but if you can't charge it, you can't use it. Very disappointed.
