This frame has been priceless for our Mother who is in assisted living. It has kept her connected to the family. I set it up as the owner and dropped it off for her. I have the added bonus of seeing all the pictures and 15 second videos the rest of the family sends to it.

This frame works really well. All the grandkids send pictures to grandpa and grandma. They love it. I wish it had a slot for a micro SD card though.

Overall: It is a great idea to keep your loved ones updated with the latest pictures, no need for them to login into a computer. Unfortunately, it is built with mediocre materials that take away from the innovative idea that motivated me to purchase it at the first place. Technology: The implementation is very good. It seems like a custom layer on top of Android so the overall performance is quite satisfactory. The process of pushing photos to the frame is very simple as everything happens within the phone app; although I would like to have more information on how their server handles all communications from client (phone) to client (frame). Unfortunately, that technology is usually not disclosed to end users. With that said, I hope they're using strong cyphers (no CBC stuff for example) as well as TLS 1.2 at minimum for all transmissions. Build: I've felt the sort of "Apple spirit" during unboxing, but I could tell the materials used were no premium despite the premium price. Although the chrome finish was nice, you could see some unevenness and slight imperfections at the corners (again, for almost the price of an iPad, I was definitely expecting exceptional quality). The display image quality perhaps save it from me returning it as it was bright and sharp, far beyond what I've seen in other frames. The concern was again, build quality as the screen seemed flimsy and quite delicate, without any type of glass to protect it from accidental scratches during normal daily cleaning. I'd recommend it but with a big asterisk.
