This game is ok... Not much to do unless you just want to relax and explore a bit, but aside from that its just ok. It doesn't have anything else going for it or a main story or anything at all.

discovery and inventory management is the name of the game. If you are looking for space action like star wars, wrong game. It's minecraft in space, but the joy is in the experience not the gameplay.

Not the game that was promised at all. Not deep enough. Not enough freedom and options to play the way u want. Still cool for what it is but not what hello gamea was saying it was going to be.

I've had NMS since about a week after it was released and have been playing a few days a week. Although I realize from reading the reviews of others that it isn't for everyone,but it is definitely for me. I'm not terribly interested in first person shooter games and prefer to play games myself versus online multiplayer, and if someone has those expectations for NMS, they'll be disappointed.. However, I've had many satisfying hours immersed in the NMS universe, exploring mining, trading, fighting and experiencing some phenomenal visuals in the process. It is a great escape and I cannot recommend it enough for anyone wanting a self-paced game in which exploration and discovery are the focus.

The game starts off strong but degrades quickly. No story, objective, and constant technical issues like crashing are too frequent. Not worth $60.

A big wide-open universe to explore. Not much of a story-line. Not the most fun game... kind of boring gathering resources for so much time. Have to figure out some things in the gameplay.

Very cool at first.. then it gets old FAST.. Not really a whilemlot of variety of things to do same stuff with different backgrounds as you travel

This game got a lot of bad press initially due to undelivered promises. Admittedly the initial release of this game was very bare bones and was not the expansive exploratory experience that everyone who saw it had high hopes that it would be. However, despite the backlash over the last year or so, Hello Games has quietly been working on multiple patches for the game. And best of all? All of these patches have been FREE. Yes, free. The biggest and newest one of them all right now is the NEXT patch which is jam packed with features. I would recommend this game, but it probably requires a very specific type of gamer to enjoy.

Just know what you're getting into! If you're up for a solo chill space exploration game, full of generated galaxy systems, lots of resource collecting, then this is your game. Not action packed. Not multiplayer. Just you in space on a mission.

This game is one of my favorite there is so much to do I really love exploring and finding out the animals on each planet I really love that you can even make up your own name for everything

While a somewhat interesting game visually at times, that can only support the experience for so long till one realizes that there's almost no real substance to keep the game engaging past a few hours. It's far too shallow to be engaging, even as just a walking simulator, and this doesn't take into account other issues that have come up since release over the developers promising far more features that never came to be in the final product.

Recently repurchased the game after the recent updates to the game. Overall the game is much more satisfying with the most recent updates. At the current price and with the most recent updates I recommend this game.

This game seemed okay at first but it gets old very quickly. You do the same thing over and over on different planets. There is no end game.

Don't go in looking for shoot em up Halo, instead an immersive experience that provides years worth of replay value.

It's a great idea for an exploration game, but many features were removed or not present that make it lack entertainment for repetitiveness.

This game was originally seen as a flop with potential and with the added features that have been put in i can say that its a fun time killer that just keeps you entertain with small humor and constant desire to upgrade and build

Not only is this game open world but it's also open space. The game has unlimited playing times and no two games are alike. I highly recommend it to those that like sci-fi games.

After many many hours playing this game I think it's worthy of a purchase. Keep in mind this is not a complex shooter or some in depth RPG. It's a space game that is huge and has in interesting story. It's mesmerizing and a good concept.

Played for 2 hours before realizing there is no point to this game, no sense of fulfillment for walking around for over an hour just to get into space where you wait another 20 minutes to get to another boring planet. And you will more than likely never run into another person. Literally the worst game I have ever played. Traded it in the next day and paid for Madden. The only positive I got out of this game was my trade in credit.
