It is a decent budget phone but doesn't it doesn't don't expect it to last your years. The phone broke within 6 months of purchase, and the 2nd one I received via a warranty claim only lasted another 7 months.

I don't think I'll ever buy a Nokia phone again. It's fine for days and days then it needs three or more reboots just to function. Locks up frequently.

Pricing: At first, I was a bit disappointed about the price increase from the previous generation Nokia 6, but with the much improved processor, this price is still a great value compared to competitors using the same chipset. Design: This is probably my favorite part about this device. The solid aluminum body with accents and curved glass makes it look and feel like a flagship phone. Buttons are clicky, you get a headphone jack, fingerprint scanner, and USB type C with quick charging. No complaints whatsoever. Performance: The Snapdragon 630 combined with stock Android 8.1 works really well. Everything works smoothly for the most part. I occasionally notice the phone freezing for a few seconds after unlocking the device, but that could be caused by my installed launcher (Microsoft Launcher) and has only occurred a couple times so far. But in day to day use, it runs surprisingly well. I personally disable all animations through developer settings, and after doing that I noticed that in many cases it was able to open apps faster than older flagships with a Snapdragon 820 processor. Even with stock Android and 3GB of RAM, I still experienced apps reloading occasionally, but at this price I can't ask for much more. Software: This was one of the big deciding factors for me. Android One means this phone will be one of the first to get the latest software updates, and Nokia has a proven track record of providing timely updates. Display: Even as someone who is used to OLED displays, this 1080p IPS display has fairly good contrast, colors, and brightness. Keeping in mind the cost, I don't think anyone would be disappointed here. Camera: This is probably the most disappointing part of this phone, and is where it loses to competitors. They use the same sensor from last generation with an added Zeiss branding. Image quality in good lighting conditions is decent, with occasional issues with overexposure. However, the biggest issue lies in low light. The images come out dark, grainy, and unusable. Flash definitely helps, but it does not seem to get too bright. I don't use the front facing camera much, but the colors seem a bit dull. Detail seems to be decent, though. Video quality is good, but the most annoying part is that it keeps refocusing every few seconds, even if the phone and subject are not moving. Battery: I personally feel that 3000 mAh for a 5.5" display is a bit small, but the battery life turned out to be quite good. With light use I can easily get over a day, but for most people it should last a full day on a single charge. And unlike some expensive flagship phones out there that don't even come with a fast charger in the box, thankfully Nokia was kind enough to include one. Conclusion: Excellent design, build quality, display, performance, and battery. I hope they improve the camera in the next generation, but at least in daylight the photos are alright. One small feature I also wish it had is a notification LED. That being said, I would definitely recommend this device to anyone looking for a sub $300 phone.

I thought it would be a good phone but couldn’t even get it past the set up part because the imei was bad

I don't need to say a lot about this phone, but here are some of my takeaways: -Good phone build, it's METAL which I prefer. Wireless charging is silly at this stage of development. The weight is nice and the width of the screen is actually a bit better than my Galaxy S9+ -It has NFC! -The screen is very nice, crisp and good color. Not as vivid as an OLED but hey, they don't put those in budget phones (yet). -This is my work phone (yeah I have to carry two...) so it's not my daily driver but it easily could be. Performance is remarkably better than I expected, especially for a snapdragon 630 & only 3GB RAM. -I just got the Pie update yesterday. Too early to pass judgement but so far, so good. I feel like Pie and future iterations of android may be driving for better support of lower-memory devices. Look at the brand new Pixel 3 phones, they only have 4GB of RAM... Google is clearly endorsing this. -Camera is downright bad. It's a potato. You can make out what's in the photos, and it's decent in high-light shots. Forget about low-light or motion photos. -Needs more RAM, but if you close out apps, you should be fine -Fingerprint reader is good. Others have complained but I think it works well -It has a 3.5mm audio jack. I don't understand the obsession with removing this as ALL OF my headphones use it. Yeah I have a couple pairs of bluetooth headphones but those are for going to the gym, the rest of the time I prefer some light earbuds with a cord so I don't have to think about charging all the dang time. All in all, this is a great all around phone. If the camera improves, this could easily replace a flagship premium phone for anyone who is over the hype and extremely high markups of phones.

Great product and excellent price but the phone is hard to use.

Seems Nokia has a problem with phones dropping dead from 3 days ownership onward. Problem goes back from what I read to 5.0 models, at lesst back to 2017. Mine has 100% died after 6 months and 30 days or so. Haven't been into store yet as I'm away. I'll assume Best Buy/Nokia will rectify the issue when I het home. Not great having dead phone while traveling.

Was really slow and buggy from the start. I returned the phone a few days after getting it.

I loved Nokia phones before Microsoft purchased them but stay away from this phone regardless of price. USB-C does not work with all USB-C cables OEM or Mprice, expect charge issues or constant connection prompts. Fingerprint reader is horrible. Vibrate is not powerful and ringer is not loud enough. Android Oreo out of the box is the saving grace to this piece of junk.

I originally thought this phone was going to eventually be okay. But it just keeps getting worse. Apps crash constantly, my battery lasts less than an hour... I thought that coming from Nokia that I would be getting a great product.. I was horribly wrong. Maybe I got a lemon.. but I am very upset

purchased as a gift. 4 days after initial use, it no longer turns on. cant return because of best buys ridiculous 14 day return policy. the number bestbuy has for nokia doesn't work, and nokias website is always down for maintenance.

It is a cheap phone no gallery not what I was expecting

I bought this phone a year ago, inorder to use it back home never works network always disconect. i am wondring if i could return it back to best buy, i know it is been a while but i never use it i bought becasue i trust best buy items.

The item looks good but I don't know why but no sound came out. I played some videos and music and it didn't work. I went to Best Buy and got my money back. It is a shame because early years I was a really fan of Nokia phones.

speaker and call receiving and outgoing worst hear

i purchased in april 2019, & in October 2019 my phone stoped working upon checking it from expert i came to know that the screen got freeze / dead.waste of money

Great phone so far. Very good build quality and screen is great. It is basically a Nexus type phone. However the specs on Best Buy's site are a little off. The phone has 32gb of storage and 3 gb of ram, not 4. Also, the phone only supports 128gb sdcards according to Nokia, not 256 gb. I am a little disappointed in both of those errors. It a very smooth, no frills phone. Not sure if I will keep it as I really wanted the 4gb of ram and wanted to use a 200gb sdcard I already have. Great phone if you don't care about those 2 things.

Well i bought this phone back in DEC 18th and it went out March 6th. not reading sim card. took it in to be looked at and they said it was cheaper to buy a new one..

Phone earpiece speaker blew 2 times within 4 months

Hangs up abruptly and doesn't even switch off sometimes. Returned it.
