I have always bought Nokias, so I am perhaps a bit biased, but this history also gives me a good benchmark for the brand. The phone is fast, responsive, sleek, and the camera takes some great photos! But, the reason I buy Nokia is the durability. This phone does not disappoint. I am loath to admit, but due to my disability, I have already dropped this phone several times. Not even a scratch. One of my colleagues was amazed the other day, commenting that her phone would have shattered falling from half that height.

Good job nokia. Good to see that you guys are making good progress on improving and innovating your phones. Good start for this nokia 7.1. Affordable and the quality and performance is really very good.

I bought this phone based on extensive research after my V20 was no longer receiving updates after 3 years, and was down to the Nokia and Moto G7. I bought the Nokia yesterday and loved the design, I liked the UI, and set up was marginally easy, although it has issues pairing with Samsung Gear watches apparently, but I got it working. I got a notification for an update and set it to download overnight on my nightstand. By morning I had a boot screen that has the AndroidOne logo and “Download mode” on the top left, I can’t turn it off, I can’t restart it, it’s literally locked on that screen permanently. After a quick search on the internet it apparently is related to the December Android Pie update, and everyone more unfortunate than myself that DOESNT have 13 days left to return or exchange their phone is dealing with the nightmare of waiting weeks to get a replacement phone because of a manufacturer caused problem. I can’t in good faith recommend a phone with an obviously known issue that turns the phone in to an attractive paperweight and has had months to fix it, but hasn’t as of yet. MAYBE if they address the problem with the actual update instead of just telling you to send it in for repair, I’ll be able to give it a better rating, but as of now, 14 hours after buying it, 3 hours of which was setting up all my accounts, and 1 hour waiting on updates to push through, I don’t have a phone.

Great phone for an incredible price. I have always been a fan of stock android and have always used the Nexus / Pixel line which gets updates straight from Google first. Now with this Android One program introducing Nokia into the game , I HAD to buy this device. I must say that you are getting a HUGE bargain for your money without sacrificing major differences from flagships. Honestly to me the magic of flagships disappear after a short while and just like leasing a car, you feel buyers remorse when you pay that much money and still are making payments when the honeymoon phase is gone. With the ability to expand the memory, great camera , headphone jack , amazing build quality and very fast updates from Google directly , it’s extremely hard to choose another “mid range” device like the Sony Ultra or the Moto series since the specs are almost the same yet the build of the Nokia makes it seem like a flagship and the others will be highly neglected via software updates. I can’t put this phone down and am even more elated about using it knowing I only paid $300 for it coming from a $900 Note 8 that slowed down majorly after 2 months and was extremely slow at getting updates or fixes. Great job Nokia and Google!

For the first 3 weeks the phone was great. During the 3rd week it wanted to update. It got stuck in the update and nothing we tried would fix it. Best Buy was unable to reset it for me. I could have returned and bought a new phone on the spot and THAT they could do. But instead I had to mail it back to Nokia for them to do a hard reset. I have been without that phone for a week now....

Coming from a rock solid Windows 10 Nokia Lumia. this Android phone is okay. Beats the price point of Samsung by a mile. Amazing that there are no call/text notifications and many of the settings are not logical. But compared to other offerings, this was the best option. Feature wise would go with the OnePlus, but it's almost twice the price for something that will be out-dated soon as 5G hits the ground.

Phone looks nice in looks.Feels nice to hold(Not slippery) . Display is awesome with 440 ppi (blue tinted ) With Stock Android, Performance is good and free of bloatware. Expecting faster updates too. Both Cameras(back is dual) are nice (Colors and Bokeh - portrait mode are very nice). Nokia is so famous in building reliable and durable product. I have to check battery later once i install lot of apps Hope this phone makes life easier

I purchased the Nokia 7.1 during black friday sale. After doing a lot of research & YouTube reviews, I chose to go with the Nokia 7.1 as my next upgrade unlocked phone. Works great on GSM (FamilyMobile) network. This is my 2nd Nokia phone & I like the quality of Nokia phones. The build is solid; Body is metal & glass (I suggest getting a case to protect phone). Light weight & fits in hand perfectly. Screen is 5.8in HD, but phone has slim body. Speakers are clear & loud. Fingerprint sensor works quick. Cameras take nice pics & videos. Apps perform good, processor works fine for me. Comes with Android One, 8.0 Oreo. But received 9.0 Pie update on 11/28/18. I don't have anything negative to say so far about this phone. Quality phone for a decent price.

I have been a fan of Samsung for since my Galaxy 2. My last phone before the was an S8. This phone beat my S8 in every way other than camera night shots. I am getting cell reception in areas that my S8 and my sons Iphone 8+ still cant. Screen is great, battery life is awesome. This is the first phone that I have had that can make it through a 16 hour work day. I was very hesitant to buy this after reading the specs and seeing the slow processor speed compared to some of the newer phones, but I have been pleasantly surprised so far. I will never pay $1000 plus for a phone and if Nokia keeps making phones like this I can easily see them climbing back to the top again.

The phone is relatively fast, and has an excellent fingerprint reader. It is a bit small for me, I like note size, but it's graphics and battery life appear quite good, generally I was spoiled by samsung features. This is a close second, but at 1/5th the price a great option if you need new phones every couple of years. Was the right purchase would do again.

This being a Android one phone came unlocked and empty of unwanted apps (although any of your apps from a previous phone are easy to import). I like everything about this phone, camera, battery life, price, it's a smart choice for those who refuse to pay $1000.00 for a phone, I like it much better than the S7 it replaced.

It has a good display and performs well. The pictures aren't bad and it's run all the apps I've used just fine. I'm upgrading from a Nokia 6.1 that I gave to a sibling and it came with Oreo which my 6.1 hadn't had yet. Idk if there are issues with the update it something else but it's not connecting to lte and I don't get data in many places I did with my 6.1 (t mobile btw). It should cover all the T-Mobile bands except 71 so I'm not sure if there's a problem or if it's an issue with the update

Fast, great size, great cameras, affordable. Love Android One compared to bloated versions of Android. Both front and rear cameras take amazing pics and videos. Goldilocks size - not too small, not too big, screen is bright, crystal clear, and easily readable.

Its camera is great and pictures are clear. I have played different games which require a good CPU and Ram to handle, and Nokia 7.1 did. The only problem that I have is OS, AndriodOne. The software does not have so many features like Andriod Pie. Overall is a good phone and its design looks luxury.

Great phone over all and the camera is amazing but some things that could be better are...a way to keep the phone cooler (with it being glass on both sides, the sun or screen brightness heats it up quickly and it's not pleasant to hold), better battery performance and a way to adjust music preferences like with a equalizer.

Picked up this phone for $299 on sale and it's worth every penny. In an age of $1000+ phones, this guy does everything I want, is built like a tank and has 2 yrs of guaranteed Android updates. Camera is good but not great, and it's not a speed demon--but average folks won't notice. Pick one up and you won't be sorry.

Purchased phone due to it being an Android one phone with gauranteed updates, a decent camera(s), and the price. This is my first smartphone and is quite adequate.

I really hate reviews that say "Great [product] for the price". I find them frustrating and unhelpful. However, I really have to say this phone is a great smart phone for the price. The one and only issue I have with this phone is that navigating the UI isn't always as smooth as I would like. This is likely due to the mid-tier processor. However, this can be easily overlooked when you think about the price. You can't go wrong with stock android, the screen is bright and vibrant, the batter life is acceptable (especially when you turn on the Adaptive Battery feature), call quality is good and the speakers are pretty loud. The important thing is that you will be satisfied with this phone as your primary driver if this is what you can afford.

If you're in the market for an affordable and good looking phone, this is an excellent choice. Be aware that its glass back makes it VERY slippery so be sure to shop around for a case ASAP. Note that this phone can handle dual SIMs or single SIM plus a micro SD card.
