    Great Beard Trimmer

This is a great shaver/beard shaper. It works great, is easy to adjust, and DOESN'T cut your skin on close shaves. It charges wirelessly and can run for 90 minutes on a single charge, so it can be ideal for short traveling trip, even if you forget your charger. I love everything about this razor, but I wish that is was also designed to cut all of your hair. I know that would be a tall order in such a tall package, but it is the only thing it lacks. other than that, it is perfect, and no matter what, great for beards.

I would give this 5 stars ***** for beard maintenance, and 4 stars **** for shaving. I'm writing this review as a coarse bearded gent of mostly Italian and Mediterranean descent. Seems like this would shave much better, and more efficient for a fine, or even medium coarse bearded gent. For the first time in history, the label on the package is 100 % correct. From a completely dead unit, it charged in right around an hour. Received @ 0% and 1 hour later I was shaving. Comes with only 1 attachment, which is awesome, the 14-length comb. There is a stand you can plug the charging cable to that will charge the razor, or you can charge direct to the bottom of the razor. There is a nice little travel pouch, with a plastic travel blade protector, that comes inside the package. Quick background on my test-prep for this razor. I refrained from shaving for 3 days, and for me that's like 3/32" growth. Here's the good in my opinion: ^^as a SHAVER^^ >super quick and comes within 5-10% of the closeness of a cleanly shaven face with a handheld blade. *tip* don't press too hard down on your skin to avoid razor-bumps, hold it barely against your skin, also shave against the grain >great for non-morning people who run late and want a quick once over >you can shave wet or dry >not like the old school triangle shaped circular blade patterns, the OneBlade blade is easier to manage to the unique contours of your face ^^as a BEARD TRIMMER^^ >super quick just like when shaving >single comb with 14 settings makes it easy to find your personal favorites >good for normal beard lengths, not for super long Duck Dynasty types that do natural soap bar commercials on Instagram After shaving and trimming my beard, the charge only went down to 94%. When done, rinse the blade, nice and neat. Only 1 thing I thought was bad, and I ended up changing my mind about it after thinking about it. I was not excited about the prospect of eventually buying replacement blades. The literature states as you use the blade, a green bar starts to appear. When highly visible you need a new blade. States that they last around average of 4 months (based on 2 full shaves per week) Realized that blade change is a pretty smart, as well as fiscally beneficial for Norelco. Idk about the rest of you, but any other electric razor or beard trimmer I've owned, gets dull over time. Most of them the blade is not replaceable. So here you are with a 1-3 year old trimmer with a dull blade, and a battery that is starting to poop out. Bad part is, 6 months to a year in, with this OneBlade, you could've changed the blade a couple times in that same timeframe, and had a closer, more efficient cut. From what I see, blade replacements are relatively inexpensive. You can buy them in a 1-PACK, 2-PACK, or 3-PACK. You could do a LOT worse than this razor. Time will tell but I'm hard-pressed to see any negatives besides the need for replacement blades, and even then, not a deal breaker.

I was in the market for a shaver. I long used disposable razors. Due to the pandemic, I haven't been to the barber and my hair has been a mess. I found myself trimming my sideburns and the back of my head around the neck area. This product solved both of my problems. Prior to this product, I never used a one-blade trimmer and shaver. The trimmer and shaver are very small. It can easily fit in my pocket. Out of the box, it came already charged. I only charged it for less than an hour until it was at 100%. It also comes with a bag, base charger, and an adjusting trimmer piece that can be customized based on turning a dial. I was worried when first using it, as the blades look exposed. I was worried about being cut. You can shave any way you want, you are not obligated to only shave where the blades are as the exposed blades make it very versatile. I shaved by putting the shaver over my mustache and also moving horizontally. Pretty cool. I plan to use the adjusted dial for my beard and sideburns as I probably won't go to the barber for a while until the pandemic is gone. I like this trimmer/shaver. It is very simple to use and small enough not to take up too much space in my bathroom drawers. The price is just right and doesn't brake the bank. I recommend it!

It took me awhile to get used to the one blade but after I got the hang of it, I really think it is a great shaver for anybody. I have a full-face beard, very trimmed and well kept. I typically will use a standard shaving cream and multi blade manual shaver to keep the parts around my cheeks and lower neck clean with my beard. I have known and heard the Phillips One Blade was a handy shaver but never gave it a shot until now, and I am very happy I did! It is very precise and actually delivers a very close shave without the pain of a standard electric shaver, it allows me to trim extremely close and precise all around my beard without having to use shaving cream and a manual blade, which is very convenient and saves a bunch of time for me. There is a bit of learning curve when you first try this out but after you get the hang of it the One Blade is really a breeze; easy to use, easy to clean and the battery lasts for a good deal of time before needing a recharge. I travel often and I think this a great shaver to have in my suitcase, simple and effective! Highly recommended!

Best Rechargeable Shaver I've had..so far..

Once I got the OneBlade Pro I plugged it in for the night so I'd have a full charge in am. First off the guard free blade was for me perfect. Skin tight but not skin deep lol. Very nice close shave and I had no irritation at all.. big plus. The best part about this shaver is the adjustable guard. Settings are form .5 to a 9. I started with a 5 and went from there and easily got my preferred beard depth. What a pleasure not having to change guards for different depths. Others may have adjustable guards but this was my first. You have a nice digital read out of battery life but I always leave mine on charger and a week in so far I've had no issues with hair pulls. I do wish it came with at least 1 extra blade as it seems 3 more blades is roughly 30.00. No idea yet how long each blade will last but hopefully for a decent amount of shaves.

The Philips Norelco one blade pro hybrid trimmer is a really neat product. During the pandemic, my kids really wanted me to grow a beard, but with a beard comes the issues with trimming and grooming and all of that. The one blade from Philips Norelco has been a great product to use in maintaining my beard and trimming and sculpting around it. What I really like is the adjustability. You have a multitude of different trim lengths that you can choose with just the turn of a dial. You can even snap off the adjustment tool and use the blade as a razor. There is a wear indicator built into the blade to let you know when it needs to be replaces as well. The one blade comes with a stand charger and is extremely easy to operate and adjust. No learning curve here. For a multi-use type of razor, this one is really a neat concept and so far, works just as you would want it to. I have no complaints.

I have had my fair share of electric shavers and I have to say that this compact powerful shaver far exceeded my expectations. I’ll begin by saying that the battery life on the Norelco OneBlade Pro is exceptional. With one charged I was able to shave my face and unwanted body hair. I think the addition of the adjustable trimmer attachment was well thought out and the adjustments are spot on. I’m a person prone to hair bumps and I have to say, I don’t have any and I’ve been using this as a primary shaver for over a week. This is now my go to shaver and I feel as if it will be for a long time to come. I would definitely recommend this product.

This is probably one of the worst trimmers/shavers on the market. It will cut you up as you shave leave u red and bleeding like u don’t know how to shave. Also the trimming feature is a joke at best. Regret throwing the packaging away cause now I’m stuck with this junk.

Works well for close up trimming but if you have a beard and want to trim it down it doesnt work very well. I found myself having to make multiple passes to get it all the same length and would leave a lot of random hairs longer.

      Hi,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. This is not the experience we wish you had with our Philips OneBlade. Our advice is to trim against the direction of hair growth for best results, ensuring that the teeth of the comb are flat against your skin.

Shipping and packaging- Shipping was prompt and packaging seemed to protect the item well, it arrived in pristine condition. The packaging of the item also was made of recyclable materials which is a plus for me. I like to help where I can. Instructions- The instructions were easy to understand and made it easy to get the trimmer charging. The trimmer is shipped with a discharged battery so its not ready to use out of the box. The good news is that the trimmer gets to full charge in 30-45 minutes and has a digital indicator to show the percentage of charge. Ergonomics - The actual feel of the trimmer in your hand is quite nice. It has an ergonomic design and a textured finish that feels really nice in your hand. It is also relatively light which helps with mobility in close areas such as over you ears. Closeness of shave- The shave is not as close as a regular razor but for someone who is trying to maintain a 5 o’clock shadow or a short beard this is the perfect option. It’s also perfect for trimming the edges of you hairline in the back or squaring up sideburns because both long edges of the trimmer head will cut. Accessories- The charging base feels kind of light in your hand and not very sturdy. the trimmer seems to attach to it well though. The the trimmer guard has many different length settings which make it easier to get the exact length you want. The length selection mechanism on the guard seems to operate smoothly and is of sound construction. Conclusion- All in all, a good trimmer. Not good for getting a close clean cut look but good for trimming up short beards, hairlines, and mustaches, which is exactly what the manufacturer intends it to be. Highly recommended.

    Nice trimmer

This trimmer is decent, but unfortunately doesn't do anything great. The included guard is useless for anything other than a 5 o'clock shadow length of a beard. While it does a good job of cutting not pulling my hair out like some other lower quality trimmers have done, the finished cut isn't nearly as close as I had hoped for. So even using this trimmer just to edge around my beard doesn't really do a great job. They are recommending replacement blades every 2-4 months with this unit depending on how frequently you shave. A two pack of replacement blades is about $25. Seems a bit pricey and frequent for the quality of cut. The battery life is good, the battery level display is functional and easy to read. It looks nice sitting on my vanity but just not the right style of trimmer for me. If you keep it high and tight this might be a good option, but you may be disappointed by the closeness of shave you get with this trimmer. Perhaps its better wet or with foam, all of my use is just dry trimming so far so I can't speak to that with any certainty. This will unfortunately live its life as a companion to my current trimmer until I can find one that actually does everything I want.

Hello, thank you for taking your time to leave this review. We are very sorry to hear about your unsatisfactory experience with our OneBlade. Our OneBlade is not designed to shave as closely as a shaver, it is designed to leave a little space between the blade and your skin, making it the perfect compromise between a close shave and a skin-friendly one. To get the best results from your Philips OneBlade, make sure you follow the correct instructions on how to use it. Here are some useful shaving tips for using the OneBlade. 1. Clean your skin before using the OneBlade on it. 2. Place the blade flat on your skin to ensure full contact. 3. Move the blade against direction of hair growth. 4. Make long strokes while pressing lightly. 5. If desired, you can also use your OneBlade with shaving foam or gel, and it can also be used in the shower. However, we are still glad to look into this further! Please feel free to get in touch via social media. We’re available 24/7 on Facebook and Twitter. Alternatively, you can reach out to us via the contact page on our website www.philips.com/support. One of our colleagues will then try their best to help you further. Hope to speak to you soon!
