So far it's worse than the basic one.

Dull
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a good piece. I had many different types of trimmers. This one does not cut close and smooth; and, the blade gets dull right away. Not precise either.

Posted .Hello,
Thank you for taking your time to leave this review. We are very sorry to hear about your unsatisfactory experience with our OneBlade. Our OneBlade is not designed to shave as closely as a shaver, it is designed to leave a little space between the blade and your skin, making it the perfect compromise between a close shave and a skin-friendly one. To get the best results from your Philips OneBlade, make sure you follow the correct instructions on how to use it. Here are some useful shaving tips for using the OneBlade.
1. Clean your skin before using the OneBlade on it.
2. Place the blade flat on your skin to ensure full contact.
3. Move the blade against direction of hair growth.
4. Make long strokes while pressing lightly.
5. If desired, you can also use your OneBlade with shaving foam or gel, and it can also be used in the shower.
However, we are still more, than eager to help you further! Please feel free to get in

Better in some ways
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this as an upgrade to a regular OneBlade that I've had for awhile. The OneBlade part of it still works exactly like a OneBlade, as expected. The ability to charge it on a stand is a definite improvement, and it's nice to be able to read the level of charge on the display. However, if you store it on the stand like I do, it's never going to get near running out of charge, and you don't need to know when you can take it off the charger, because that's where it's getting stored. The handle is thicker than the regular OneBlade, and I didn't find that made it any easier or harder to use - just different. What I was looking for in this was the guard with many more levels of length than the two clip-on guards that came with the original. While it does have that, the way the guard fits over the blade makes it much less easy to use, and I feel like I have to move it in the wrong direction for the hair to hit the correct side of the blade. After a few minutes of trying to use it like this, I just took off the fancy guard and went back to the old clip-on guards. So if you want this for the recharging stand and the power indicator, fine, but if you're getting it for the fancy guard, I wouldn't recommend the upgrade.

Thank you for writing your review. In this case it is impoirtant to charge the OneBlade for 8 hours before first using it. Good Trimmer/Shaver Combo
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the OneBlade. It works well as a shaver and is small enough that I can get at the edges and really shape my facial hair. It does take me a little longer to shave compared to my old Panasonic shaver, but it is quite a bit smaller and I'm okay with that for the extra precision it gives me. The trimmer attachment works pretty well and the dial makes it easy to adjust the length, but I did have to make multiple passes on my beard to make sure everything was cut evenly. I'd say if you generally keep your face cleanshaven this might not be the best solution for you, but if you have a facial hair this is a good all-in-one solution for shaving and maintaining.

Posted .Hi Daniel, thank you for taking your time to leave this review. We are very sorry to hear about your unsatisfactory experience with our OneBlade. May we suggest an easy troubleshoots to improve your experience? First of all, we recommend charging your appliance for at least 8 hours long on the working power outlet and away from metal surfaces that may interfere during the charging, Secondly, we kindly ask you to check if the blade is clogged with hair, or if it shows signs of wear and tear.

Bomb Trimmer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a woman and I got this trimmer specifically for trimming my nether regions. The trimmer came with 0% battery, but it only takes an hour for it to fully charge. After 15 minutes, it was charged to 30% and that was more than enough battery power for me to use it to get the job done. I like the comb that comes with it and the hair length settings. I was able to use the number three to get a nice close trim without going completely bald. It is recommended for the face, so it’s nice to know the trimmer is versatile. I was able to get an even trim with no nicks or cuts.

Posted .Hello, thanks for your feedback. We are sorry to hear our OneBlade did not meet your expectations. Please note that this trimmer is not supposed to provide a clean shave, but it will always leave a few millimeters of hair. In order to get the best results out of OneBlade, please consider following these tips: clean your skin before shaving; move the blade against direction of hair growth and make long strokes while pressing lightly; try using shaving foam or gel if a dry shave doesn't provide good results. If this doesn't improve your experience, please reach out to us on Social Media. We’re available 24/7 on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/Philips ) and Twitter (https://twitter.com/philipscare). Jack of all trades, Master of None
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will start this review by saying that I've exclusively used electric razors basically since I discovered what they were after I started shaving. I've used many different types and qualities over the years to varying levels of success. Unfortunately, the Philips Norelco Oneblade Pro fails to live up to the hype. In concept, the idea is interesting and unique, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. To start, the blade touts itself as being able to handle all lengths of hair, and I had gone almost 2 weeks without a shave (which is uncommon for me) so I figured what better way to test it. I tend to shave my neck clean and leave a bit of a 2-3 day shadow on my face so that's what I aimed for. While it accomplished this task, it was much more difficult and took much longer than my traditional method. I started with clean saving using the Oneblade without the guard on it, and it does well enough, although since it only cuts along the top and bottom edges, I found covering large flat areas to be a bit of an interesting experience. Since it doesn't cut directly under the flat middle part of the blade, you have to be sure there is room to move the blade up and down around it without cutting hair you don't want cut. The angle of the blade on the base does not lend itself to this experience. Trying to angle it without flipping it over is nearly impossible, and flipping it over means the teeth of the blade are directly against your skin. Fortunately the rounded edges do save you from any terrible mishaps, but it still does not lend itself to a very easy shaving experience. Once I finished the clean shaven portion of my neck, I attached the comb and set it to '3' (which I imagine is something akin to 3mm of my old Philips Norelco comb. It does manage to keep a consistent 3mm cut throughout, but it's like taking a weed-eater to a full yard of 5ft weeds. Yes, it CAN do it, but it does not do it well. As the blades cut the hair, it would just pile up and jam into the top of the comb until the comb and blades so full of hair they could no longer reach my face, and instead required me to remove the comb, tap out the hair and brush off the blades. The other strange thing about this design is that with the comb installed, only one of the two cutting edges is in use, which means if you only ever use it with the comb installed, or mostly use it with the comb installed, you will dull one side of the blade much sooner than the other. The blade cannot be flipped over to allow you a fresh cutting edge on the side that you use less. One thing I will mentioned about this, is that it is more comfortable than any travel razor I've ever used. So for travel, I would choose it over most other options if you're not willing to pack a bigger or bulkier razor. Bottom line, It will accomplish what it set out to do, but unfortunately it does not do any of those things well. It's comfortable, if a little strange to use and does not nick or cut the skin even if you have to use it at strange angles. But for the same tasks there are better options.

Good trimmer, good battery life. Learning curve.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used this for a few days, and overall, it’s a good trimmer. Charge holds really well. For whole beard trimming, it works great. It has a variety of lengths to trim to. My only big issue is beard sculpting isn’t as easy as it could be. It tools a few shaves to get good results. Not perfect, but it does good enough. Would be nice if there was an included sculpting attachment. Overall, it does what I need it to do, which is keep my beard trimmed according to my employer’s guidelines. For that, I’m grateful.

Small, Easy to use and versatile trimmer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quarantine has wrecked by personal grooming. This item is a great help in getting back on track! Small, rechargable and multi-use, this trimmer works for trimming everything from eyebrows and beard and ears with the one attachment and as basically a replacement for my old clunky hair clippers. The clipper attachment replaces all of those plastic clipper guards by having an adjustable trim length dial. Great idea! My grooming is getting back in order with the help of this!

Close but no cigar
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The OneBlade is a hybrid device seeming to offer the convenience of an electric with close shave of a razor without the irritation. The unique design allows for you to trim, shave or even shape your beard with one device. I found it performed well at trimming and shaping my beard. It was easy to create clean lines thanks to the low profile head and close action of the blades. While shaving is a bit of a mixed bag as it does a decent job of getting a close shave but not quite as smooth as a razor. I also experienced unpleasant snags on stubble periodically that wouldn't happen with a razor. The guard is also a little low for my taste as I currently have a fuller beard than this guard will allow. Overall, it works fairly well but I don't think this is the OneBlade for all.
