A great album from a great band. Excellent new material on both studio and live, plus great versions of old classics. Dedicated to Jon Lord.

The new disc of originals is very solid and may be their best since Purpidicular or Abandoned. Suffers a little from a similar tempo through out but has that classic Purple sound between the guitars, Paices drumming and Airey's Hammond sound. Then you get a disc of tunes from the last tour with several of the new songs being a nice balance to the old live standards. Morse has some amazing vocal sounding guitar riffs splattered across the tracks. Gillian does not try to hit notes outside his range anymore yet still mixes it up enough to keep it interesting. May be in my top 5 Purple albums and grows on me even more with each listen

Deep Purple is back with a new CD. If you were already fan, this will keep you coming back. However, I do not think that this will be the album to convert new listeners. The live CD in this version was a nice tasty bonus. Recommended for fans, but not for the neophyte.

This is definitely my favorite DP release since Steve Morse took over for Ritchie Blackmore. Great songs, well-written all around, & played immacualtely

Actually thought this was a very good album - big Deep Purple at least Machine Head era DP - good stuff

Vintage Purple sound includes a live compilation disc made from various tour dates.

this is the gold 2 cd set with the 2nd cd having live tracks.
