Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6 graphics card's performance, price, and cooling capabilities, with many praising its ability to deliver high frame rates at 1440p resolution. They also appreciate the card's compact size and quiet operation. However, some customers express reservations about the 12-pin power connector and the lack of RGB lighting. The sleek design is another frequently mentioned positive aspect.

The nice middle ground of the RTX 30 series. The 3070 has great performance for the power draw. The founders only needs a single 8-pin PCIe connector, albeit adapted into the 12-pin unnecessarily. Chose it to put in a HTPC, so heat generation and size was a consideration. It has enough power for 4K60+ depending on the game.

Paired with a Ryzen 9 3900xt, I'm running Cyberpunk 2077 max settings max RTX at 1080p, getting 50-70 fps. This card works amazing, looks good, and was easy to install. It is not too big, and the hottest I've seen the card get is 74 C overall, 82 C at the Hotspot. I now use screenshots of cyberpunk Ive taken as my computer wallpapers, it looks stunning.

This is a great graphics card for 1440p / 144 Hz gaming, including modern, demanding titles. Plus it can handle raytracing at acceptable framerates (though not at maxed out/Ultra settings). Looks are subjective but if you like clean & polished, non-RGB products, this is what you want. The card is also quite short at 242 mm, so it should fit nicely in small cases and is less likely to interfere with AIO tubing, radiators, fans, etc. It also has not-terrible thermals. Most, if not all, partner models will have better thermals but these are good and better than previous generations of reference model cards. In my opinion, Nvidia knocked it out of the park with the redesign of its reference cards this series. As for downsides, two minor things to note. First, it has only 8GB of VRAM, which isn't much of a problem in 2021 at 1440p, but will be at some point in the future. Literally the only thing that I'd quibble with is the 12-pin power connector that necessitates an 8-pin adapter, meaning if you've invested in third-party cable extensions, you'll have to buy yet another one. Okay so the big caveat here is if you can get your hands on one. Friends, all I can say is try not to invest emotionally in the search and just be as persistent as you can reasonably be. Good luck!

Was able to get through the online line and man it was worth it. Upgrading from an EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER FTW3 ULTRA GAMING 8GB GDDR6 & you can still tell the difference in power. My system is running smoother and cooler and having a small card with extra space in my PC case is a plus. Card did not disappoint.

Great video card! Stays cool and quiet, and for the most part runs my games at 4k. I have both a 4k monitor and a 2k monitor that is 144hz. So for racing games and slower paced games I play on 4k. For FPS and other fast game's I play on the 2k monitor. This card handles both with ease. 4k may be straining it a little, but for the most part it runs like a 2080ti.

Amazing card. Substanially better performance over my previous RTX 2070 (roughly 25-30% in AAA titles). This is definitely an upgrade over last gen. If you can get it at MSRP it's probably the best price to performance card in the current lineup considering the 3060ti/3080 models are nearly impossible to get your hands on a the moment. Highly recommend.

Awesome price, great value compared to other GPUs right now. Very lucky to get this GPU. I would say you get the best bang for the buck. Even though it is not as great as the 3080, I can't complain since the stock on these GPUs are non-existent. If you somehow get this GPU, you won't regret it. Performance is great and runs well with an Intel build.

Excellent card. Handles it all and more at 1440p. When I opened it up, noticed the paste was dried out so did a mod. Also I did a thermal pad change and my vrams are cooled much better. I used Frosty Thermal Pad 12.8 and the 2mm size for both front and back. Only took one sheet and it runs significantly better. So happy!!!

Got this from BB online. Lucky I guess. Gave it to my son for his xmas gift as he was doing a new computer build. Major upgrade from a 1080 card, now mostly using for Cyperpunk, but soon will also have COD. Only thing I don't like is you have to use the 12pin PCI-E adapter to plug it in. Adapator is included but it's ugly. But that's minor.

Went from a 2060 super to this, and I gotta say the change in power is definitely recognizable. I think this GPU is the best one for price & performance (of course, if you get one for MSRP). Don’t get the TI, it’s not worth the money. At that point, just get a 3080 fe. Amazing card, I hope it’s more available in the future.
