Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6 graphics card's performance, price, and cooling capabilities, with many praising its ability to deliver high frame rates at 1440p resolution. They also appreciate the card's compact size and quiet operation. However, some customers express reservations about the 12-pin power connector and the lack of RGB lighting. The sleek design is another frequently mentioned positive aspect.

Upgraded from a 1060 which was more or less around minimum or recommended for a lot of modern PC games. That worked ok, while the 3070 works great. My card easily achieves the specified clock speeds, however, it doesn't clock nearly as high as I've seen other people were able to achieve online; although that might just be the case of me being unlucky or maybe these newer cards just aren't as beefy as the ones from yesteryear. Despite this, its still able to drive games decently on my 144hz 1440p ultrawide monitor (with some settings turned down of course). Honestly, I would have gone for something else other than the reference model, but this is one of the few that would fit in my case and I would need a new PSU since most custom cards have higher power requirements than what I was currently running. It was either this, a gigabyte eagle, or a higher end reference model. But, I can't justify the minimal performance increase from a crazy price increase by going to a custom model, ti, or even a 3080. The reference model was the compromise between price, performance, and compatibility with my other components. Overall, the 3070 is a solid card. There's better stuff out there if you have the budget for it, but this is more than enough to get the job done.

performs like a champ. Relatively silent. The FE design is my favorite aspect about it besides its performance. Its seriously a great starter GPU if you can get it from here!

A beast of a graphics card compared to my old card. Excellent graphics and frame rate. Bonus that the prices have come back down.

The performance of the 3070 is incredible. This graphics card is adequate for almost all gaming titles out there. Compared to the other 3070 prices, this is definitely the best.

Aside from the availability of this product, it checks almost every box. 1440p gaming runs very smooth at high-max settings, easily achieving upwards of 100fps in optimized titles. If you want to play in 1080p this is a bit overkill; If you really need that extra performance, it will give you what you want. Fans are quiet on default profile, and runs cool inside of my case. The only downside to this product would be the VRAM; 8GB is a bit low if you want to push modern titles at 4k, however it is doable.

It runs very well and I would recommend this for gamers that want 1080p and 1440p 144+hz performance at a budget. The MSRP is its edge while also providing fair temps under load.

Great Upgrade For My Use Case

Lucky enough to grab one of these. My use case is 1440p at 34" 21:9 gaming at High/very high settings and so far so good. The VRAM will limit me in a couple years but I will be upgrading to a new GPU then anyway. This was to me a good compromise since I could actually get one and it was enough power for me to satisfy my current needs (RTX 3080 was my original target but impossible to find). The Founders Edition card is well built and took me all of 5 minutes to install and setup (had a RTX 2060 before with up to date drivers). At this point you might want to wait for more variations with more VRAM but for my use case I am very satisfied.

Great performance for the price, very nearly 2080 Ti levels at less than half the MSRP. NVidia has a lot of excellent exclusive features as well. The streaming quality is far better than that of the 5700 XT this replaced. Drivers are also excellent. Everything works like it should. The card runs cool and quiet. However, I run a 4k display and I worry that 8GB of vram will not be enough for the long term seeing 3-4 years out.

Got this card for my friend. He loves it. It basically performs at the same level as the 2080Ti card, but for $499 (if you can get it for that) it is an absolute steal.

Love this card, playing everything I own with maxed out settings at 1440p with no issues whatsoever. There's really no need for anything faster unless you plan on gaming at 4k

Great card. Runs pretty cool given the new design. I have it undervolted with a slight overclock to the gpu and memory and plays anything I throw at it @ 1440p 60+ fps.

This graphics card is awesome! The most power I've ever had. Be careful that it pulls a lot more power than older and cheaper cards. Particularly when playing Rainbow Six Siege.

This is great value for a 30 series card. Not quite 2080Ti but close enough for less than half the price. For high frame 1440p and 4k gaming I’d go with either this or the 3080.

Great graphics card, was able to play any games at 1440p 144hz. Downside is that it’s still hard to get your hands on, but I was lucky enough to get it during launch.

It was an excellent card when I had it. 1440p beast. Unfortunately, I had a sandwich layout case which was not optimal for the flow-through design.
