Customers are saying
Customers are delighted by the GeForce RTX 4070 12GB GDDR6 Graphics Card's impressive performance, efficient cooling, and relatively low power consumption. Many appreciate its compact size and quiet operation, along with the excellent frame rates achieved in games. However, some customers find the price to be a significant drawback, and a few have reported experiencing coil whine. The 12GB memory capacity has also been noted as potentially insufficient for some users.

Efficient card
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall: I was pleasantly surprised with this card's performance. It can run 4k just fine, but you will need a beefier card for very high framerates on 4k (not to mention a highly specialized monitor). 1440p framerates fantastic. Check your monitor specs before diving too deep in framerate territory. Nvidia has changed up the box game, the FE card came in an 11 lb. box and contained within was unique packaging that opened up into a sort of triangular prism with the card nestled within. I suppose this is part of elevating the gravitas of your purchase considering Nvidia's inflated pricing scheme. I immediately put the GPU in my rig and booted with zero problems, it appears they added a small piece of fabric around the base of the 12-pin connector to encourage properly seating the cables. It is worth noting the included 12 pin connection adapter splits to two 8-pin connectors. The card does not use nearly that much power, although some users may enjoy the headroom for potential overclocking. A big advantage of this card is increased efficiency over the 30 series. It is also much smaller than the 4090/4080/3090 - so will fit in smaller cases without taking out the dremel tool. The pricing scheme is really the only negative - but that is across the board with Nvidia's lineup.

Very impressed
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m very impressed with this card! It’s more powerful and has more VRAM than my 3070 Ti, while using less power, being smaller with more “nvidia technology” and still silent. It’s probably overkill at 1080p, but great for high refresh and Max detail settings. I don’t wish it was cheaper, but this is where we are for now. Paired with a 12900k at stick clocks.

Great card, worth the asking price
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a great card. New to gaming and bought a pre-bulilt corsair system with a 3060ti. Upgraded to 4070 and wow. Went from barely even able to run hogwarts at medium settings (No ray tracing) to running everything at ultra with rt at max! At near 100fps! Loving it, great upgrade if you're willing to spend the money.

Small and Mighty!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is easy to recommend this card because it uses barely any power compared to other GPUs, while producing excellent frame rates. This is true even at 4k. Another bonus is the size of the card. This made it so easy to fit into my new build. Buy this card!

Excellent card for the price and performance.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great performance for the price. I have always loved the RTX line of graphics cards especially the founders editions because of their amazing performance, size and cooling, and design. The 4070 is no difference and great for a mid to high end PC build.

Great all-around performer, especially for 1440p
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely rock solid performer for my 3440x1440 ultra-wide monitor for a number of games that I play, including Cyberpunk 2077 (which looks *great*), and Microsoft Flight Simulator. I also use VR (Meta Quest 3) and the 4070 does a nice enough job to run games on it, albeit it would obviously benefit better from 16GB of VRAM (hint hint NVIDIA). Still though, excellent value all around for 1440p playing.

good overall
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i was waiting for a 40 series 2 slot card, overall im pleased with the results. im using it with proxmox passed through to a windows VM and connecting via parsec. this gpu has no issues with 144hz using dlss. power draw is also a decent plus. i see only a few watts idle and 150 or so rendering or in game. imo this should be the 4060ti and shouldnt be 600$ but ill leave that alone. if your ok with the price and looking for the above, id reccomend

Great performance, price could be better
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for a small form factor portable VR rig. It has provided a good uplift in performance over the 3060 ti it replaced while consuming less power. Very satisfied thus far. Cons - only 1, this card should cost 499, not 599 IMO.

Better and way cooler than a 3080ti
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced a 3080ti with this card. I'm seeing better performance and way lower power usage. I can physically feel how cooler my office is with this card installed

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After upgrading from a 2070 super to this. I’m glad I purchased it. This card is proven to me that it’s worth it’s price. It’s much quieter and more powerful than I imagined. Plus it’s sleek design is beautiful

Perfect Beginner Card
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Id you’re getting into Studio work or gaming in general, this is a perfect card for both. Ive ran this card for about a year before wanting am upgrade due to workloads. I will absolutely keep this card in my stream build. Runs perfect for 1440p, and if you’re into R6 siege, this is one hell of an upgrade to consider. Average around 270-300 frames on ultra.

Great GPU!

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nvidia doesnt have the best rep with the consumers right now but this card is good. Runs quiet, really good. I recommend if you need 1440p, dlss, and ray tracing.

great value!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgrading to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 has been a game-changer for my PC setup. This card delivers outstanding performance, effortlessly handling modern titles at 1440p with high frame rates. Ray tracing and DLSS 3.0 are seamlessly integrated, providing immersive visuals without compromising performance. One of the standout features is its efficient cooling system. The card operates quietly, even under load, and maintains optimal temperatures, ensuring consistent performance during extended gaming sessions. The compact design is another plus, fitting perfectly into my mid-sized case without any clearance issues. Its sleek aesthetics also add a premium touch to my build. While the 12GB VRAM is ample for current gaming needs, it's worth considering future titles that may demand more memory. However, for the price point, the RTX 4070 offers exceptional value, delivering performance that rivals higher-end models at a more accessible cost. Overall, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 is a top-tier choice for gamers seeking high performance, efficient cooling, and excellent value. Highly recommended!

Great graphics card 1440p.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Expected low performance since i had the 3080 before this. The 4070 makes light work of highly demanding games at 1440p. The 3 fans are uncontrollable until you download msi companion and allow customization of the fans by either a 3 point fan curve or percentage. It keeps very cool even when under high load. If youre looking to spend 500-600, this will get your foot in the door with the new dlss and frame generation. I would recommend for sure.

Great performance, but typical Nvidia milking…
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It dosent make sense that the memory bus is smaller than my 3070 ti. It is definitely a way more efficient card with the large L2 cache and more Vram. Thats dosent mean its worth the msrp they set it at and neither was my 3070 ti when I got it (at least I didnt pay second hand to a scalper for $1k yikes…). Next series or super that may come soom will be what it was supposed to be. However, it may be an even more inflated price. Nvidia definitely knows they make the best stuff and therefore dosent care how much money they milk with every single small upgrade or version. Make sure you are happy with the specs and that it can be furture proof for at least 4 years to habdle the latest gen gaming requirments for the settings you what to playing at. Anyways i think this card is a good buy but the super may be coming this 2024 Q1 so wait if you want.

Good Card, Too Expensive
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased for my 1440p PC. Replaced my 3080 FE, I moved that to the livingroom, 4K PC. I've see a small increase in performance and a dramatic reduction in power usage. At 599, the card isn't worth the cost for most. I got it for 535 on launch. Only reason I bought it. Should be 499. At that price, it's an amazing deal. Especially if coming from a 10XX or 20XX series. Less so with 30XX unless youre in a position similar to mine.

Great upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first I was kind of skeptical if the 4070 would be as big as an upgrade from my 2060 and boy was I wrong it was a huge leap in performance I can run most games on max setting with no problem while before I had to be at high to medium settings sometimes low. The upgrade in vram is a great help too no more low video memory messages for me. And the boost in vr performance is out of my mind going from barely getting 70 frames per second I'm now getting at least 100+.
