Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the GeForce RTX 4070 12GB GDDR6 Graphics Card's impressive performance, efficient cooling, and relatively low power consumption. Many appreciate its compact size and quiet operation, along with the excellent frame rates achieved in games. However, some customers find the price to be a significant drawback, and a few have reported experiencing coil whine. The 12GB memory capacity has also been noted as potentially insufficient for some users.

For $599 this graphics card has exceeded my expectations. Im able to play cyberpunk 2077 on 4k all high settings some ultra with ray tracing on and able to get consistently around 105-120 fps. When you do get in the thick of the city with a lot of people and buildings to generate it tapers down to about 75-80 fps which for me personally is still great, was never even able to get to 60fps on my old 2070 super on medium settings no ray tracing. Worth the price!

Nvidia hurt itself in its confusion

If my 2070 hadn't been giving me problems I probably wouldn't have pounced on this the way I did. Nvidia's business practices have been super disappointing lately, and the naming and pricing of these 40 series cards are front and center. This card is a 4060 and $150 cheaper in an alternate timeline, but we live in the world with a $600 70-class-in-name-only card. Considering I didn't have the money, space, power, or cooling, for something larger though....it's not a total flub. It'll probably serve it's purpose and prove worth it over time, and that's OK. But, just OK... Recommended, with asterisks

Good GPU, would recommend holding off for a 4070 T

The founders edition 4070 is cool, has this premium metal feel, it’s okay. If you’re trying to use this for gaming, it will do. But I would recommend you get a 4070 Ti, or hold off for the new series of 4070 GPUs coming soon.

I wanted to buy this item for the holidays and had a gift card, but wasn't able to buy it with the gift card through the brand's website. Thanks to Best Buy having it in stock I was able to buy it through them and save some money. The process of getting the item was quick and efficient (Only 3-5 Days), and to my surprise, the card itself is smaller than I've seen on videos. Performs like a beast all around. Great item and great service

NVIDIA has really been pushing there luck with these prices. If my old card had not of died I would not have considered it. I must say though, the card has performed well at everything I have thrown at it.

It may be pricey, but the DLSS improvements and added frame generation finally make modern games feel optimized. It sucks that you have to buy a top-tier card with AI enhancements to break 100fps at 1440p, but hey, it does its job.

Excellent performance. With the right processor there’s barely any difference between this and a 4080. Most users won’t be able to tell the difference. Great product, stable frame rates. Happy with my purchase.

Great performing GPU , still think it’s overpriced. Also they could have left the 70 class GPU’s on a 256 memory bus. It does perform well with my 5900X with 32 GB of R.A.M. I’m pretty satisfied overall.

This is a great graphics card that is on-par with the RTX 3080. I know NVidia is getting slack for calling this a budget card at the $599 price point, and I think the criticism is fair. The card should have been priced at $499. However, I think some people are forgetting that the form factor and power draw on this card are huge upgrades. The money you save over time with power efficiency will easily make up for what should have been $100 cheaper. All in all, I'm pleasantly surprised by how much power they put in a smaller form factor while simultaneously using less watts in comparison to mid/high tier cards.

This was great, but I returned it for the 4070 Super. The Super does run MUCH faster for only $50 more. If you are on the fence between this and the Super, I would (and did) drop the extra $50 for the Super, it is worth it. That said, I was VERY happy with the upgrade to this card from the 1080Ti I had. Between the 1080 Ti there was no jump in performance in the 2000 or 3000 generation of cards that made my 1080 Ti feel slow. But the 4070 really made a difference.

Very good card for 1440p high gaming and 1080p ultra gaming. DLSS3 is nice as well though not enough to sell the card in my opinion as frame gen has too much latency.

Finally built again, 20 years since the last one. Card has been working great knocks everything out of the park for what I’m playing. Going to be using for a couple years for sure. Still a little pricey.
