Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the GeForce RTX 4070 12GB GDDR6 Graphics Card's impressive performance, efficient cooling, and relatively low power consumption. Many appreciate its compact size and quiet operation, along with the excellent frame rates achieved in games. However, some customers find the price to be a significant drawback, and a few have reported experiencing coil whine. The 12GB memory capacity has also been noted as potentially insufficient for some users.

    4070 Founder's Edition

I installed it in a new build and it works. The founder's edition packaging and presentation of the card were aesthetically amazing. It comes in rectangle shaped box that folds into a elongated pyramid shape after you remove a couple of stickers. With no antistatic bag and no exposed pcb, you can just pick up the gpu straight out of the box. The high power adapter seems ok so far, I followed the advice of the internet and made sure that it was securely plugged in, and I was careful not to bend it near the connector. It performs similar to a 3080 in most games, but consumes much less power, so if you want to cheap out on the power supply you can do that. It took me about 8-9 hours to build this. So far, it works great and has no problems. This was also the cheapest 4070 that I could find, which is the card that I selected because of power consumption concerns.

Have been very happy with my FE. Yes it’s a bit pricey but I’ll be using this for the next 2 years at least and I game every day. So, A dollar a day for two years to have a good time is fine by me. Power consumption is very reasonable and temps are much lower than my old 6650xt. Plus it’s amazing to look at in my case. Industrial art.

I upgraded from a 3060 ti and this thing is amazing. 3080 type performance, sips power, AV1 encoder, DLSS3/Frame Gen, and a compact size using only 2 slots... Not 2.2 or 2.5 slots... truely only two slots.

The 4070 is a small form, big power card. It does 3080 ti levels of performance at nearly half the wattage. You can actually play games with raytracing on. Throw in dlss 3 and youve got a solid performer.

Pros: Compact, powerful, and energy efficient than other thicc graphics cards. Good for Small Form Factor Cases Cons: 600$? There are other graphics card that is the same price and performs better. However, it depends on user's productivity

I paired this card with a i5-13600k 32GB DDR5 and get a stable 240hz on 1080p on just about every game this is such a beautiful card and will fit just about any case my temps stay under 65c on max settings and around 55c on lower settings.

The 4070 is a beast of a graphics card, it easily sips power and keeps itself cool unlike any others. When running NZXT C an monitoring my graphics card, it will reach 40C and immediately begin running the fans. Power conducts isnt an issue because it doesnt keep the fans on when idling. The 4070 doesnt lack in fps or ray tracing either. When building my pc i wanted something VR ready and it is able to run just about any game on the Quest 2 in 100 fps at max graphics. I would highly recommend this card as it is a peak for budget gaming.

The 4070 FE stands out as an excellent choice for those who seek performance without the steep price. While the 4090 might be overpriced for many, the 4070 FE hits the sweet spot, offering great value for money. It's especially commendable for its cool temperature management in small form factor setups, even while playing high-end games. Its aesthetic design is a bonus, making it a perfect blend of style, efficiency, and affordability for both work and gaming needs.

I purchased this card at Best Buy for $599. Something nostalgic about being able to still walk in a store and purchase high-end computer hardware without having to wonder if it will get lost, stolen, or damaged in the mail. This card pushes most newer titles well over 100 FPS with Maxed Out graphics at 1080P while keeping a consistent cool 66c. If you're looking for an affordable GPU that's above the rest then look no further. This well-oiled machine is Worth Every Penny.

Absolutely beast of a graphics card, perfect for 1440p gaming at high fps. Even with the dual fans it stays around 60 Celsius under heavy load with my setup. It comes with the Nvidia power adaptor splitter but I recommend having a psu that’s atx 3.0 ready, with the dedicated connector. Highly recommend this card for those looking for entry level 1440p and maybe 4K gaming.

After some research, I selected this card for specs and price. I am delighted with its performance. I can run even the most recent games with good resolution and frecuency. It is also a nice card stethically speaking. Only suggestion is that at least the visible fan should have option to select RGB lighting

It's a great buy. Great deal, and no longer overpriced. It's small and powerful! So I bought a second. Looks great workout all the extra led garbage. Full aluminium body or classes the wee fella plastic lines available out there. Also, don't worry about the newer style plug connector.. Just make sure you fully plug it in! Get it!

Upon opening the extremely awsome box, i was presented with a beautifully designed video card that was complimented by the design of the box amd the art around it. Installation was a breeze as it came with a power adaptor for the 2 plugs that powered by old card. The plugs went into one end of the adapter then the other end goes right into the video card. This is a fairly large card so make sure you have a tower with enough space. Once the card was in, I powered up the PC and did the update in my Geforce app and away we go! Some games may require you to reset the graphics settings to default then tweek them to your liking afterwards. I had to do this with World of Warcraft sonce ot was running at 4 fps amd the graphics looked wonky. Afrer the reset i was running at 100+ FPS at ultra settings and everything looked beautiful. I highly recommend this card if you are looking to upgrade. Well worth the money!

The sweet spot for GPUs right now

The sweet spot for GPUs right now. Upgraded from a 3070 to give it to my son as a hand me down to replace the 2070 in his rig. There's only about a 30% increase in performance over a 3070, but the extra VRAM is where your money is going. I'm running this card 1440@165Hz. The FPS in all the games I play feel like butta!

First off, the price is, what the price is. If it's not a good value for you personally then I don't blame you for not getting one. That aside, this thing is a monster. I don't have a 4k monitor so I haven't benchmarked it in that resolution but in 1440p this thing is amazing. I paired it with a 13600k on a b660m with 32gb ddr4 and I get triple digit fps in almost everything. There are some outliers like CP2077, but that thing is also hard to run on my 4080. Turn DLSS quality on with frame generation and you are over 100 fps. I've also used it to stream and record videos, and encode with Premiere Pro and it's fantastic.

The 4070 FE brings back the return of normal sized GPUs, wish it was cheaper but it's impressive how little power this chip draws compared to the performance this puts out. This card should easily fit smaller cases. Even the Asus 4070 Dual card isn't as small as the 4070 FE.

This card runs incredibly smooth, quiet, and cool. There are probably AMD cards that slightly edge out the 4070 on price vs performance. But I am still pretty loyal to Nvidia and Intel (their stuff just works). The 4070 was a great fit for a mid range build. However, I don't think I would've bought this as an upgrade from the previous gen 3070.
