Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the GeForce RTX 4070 12GB GDDR6 Graphics Card's impressive performance, efficient cooling, and relatively low power consumption. Many appreciate its compact size and quiet operation, along with the excellent frame rates achieved in games. However, some customers find the price to be a significant drawback, and a few have reported experiencing coil whine. The 12GB memory capacity has also been noted as potentially insufficient for some users.

Don’t you hate when you break your build down to put a new GPU in, get it in, and it doesn’t display anything? Fans came on, but no display. Went to Microcenter and got the RTX 4070 Tuf Gaming.

Over Priced but great size for smaller cases

Availability - None of the Founders editions have been available at Best Buy for years. They could allow 1 per address to mitigate people buying them up for say Mining (past) They could have a sign up list to hold your place like concerts (seats) NFL Football reserved seats etc. But Best Buy would prefer customers that have waited months to be beat out by a person that got luck and only tried one lucky day. Poor business model. Lights - They went cheap and got red of the Green Gforce lighting. - Size - Big plus here - Founders Edition can be installed in a wider variety of cases - Power use - this one is huge. They keep it under 200 watts so you do not need to buy a new power supply - It can run on 1 8 Pin connector but sadly on the Founders Edition they chose to put a (12 pin) which is crazy. This forces the user to either have the newest PS that comes with a 12 pin (Who wants to do that if they don't have to?) Or they need to buy a 8 pin to two 8 pin splitter to plug into the not needed twin 8 pins to one 12 pin that connects to the card. Most PS have one 8 pin graphics card power. You do not need two for a 4070 as its more like a 3060ti or 1080GTX in terms of power. The 12 pin should have been skipped on the 4070FE they skip it on other 4070s. Price - Too high by 100.00 Why did I buy it? I did not from Best Buy because of their poor customer availability tactics. I found them from a more reliable source and yes I just bought one no greed here.

Good mod-range card for solid 1440p Gaming.

Great card for my 3440x1440 monitor. Get 130ish FPS in Halo Infinite High settings. Can't wait to try it out on my 240 FPS 1080p monitor. Small form factor is nice. I can swap into my mini-itx sandwich case no problem. Low temps (High 60s to 70). Moved up from RTX3060 and its a big difference. Its expensive relative to expected generation move from 30 series, but it is what is.

Worth it for Pathtracing (and Frame Gen)

I bought this as an upgrade over the 3070 for pretty much the sole purpose of playing Cyberpunk 2077 with Path-tracing. It's a little bit longer than the 3070 (coming in at just under 9.5 inches) but still fits nicely into my case. The founder's edition cards above the 4070 are too long to fit, however. Otherwise I might have gotten something even higher end. They need to stop making these cards so long! I could fit up to a quadruple-slot card, but not if it's longer than 10 inches! While it did see a price increase over the 3070, the inclusion of frame generation makes the value proposition a little better. At least better than 20% more raster performance which is what you'll see in most older titles at 1080p. While frame generation may not be available in every title, it IS available in every new title I happened to be playing before I made this purchase (Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and Starfield). I was skeptical at first, but the input lag it adds on my 1ms 1080p TN panel is surprisingly negligible, and in Starfield it actually reduces input lag in some areas by 1-2ms. Seems impossible based on how frame gen is supposed to work, but it does actually feel more responsive when playing. Don't believe me? I wouldn't either. Try it for yourself. I'm using the frame generation mod from PureDark, along with Nvidia's official performance overlay. CPU intensive areas like Jemison, or any of the main town areas get a huge boost to performance going from 10ms with FG off to 8ms with FG on with DLSS enabled across both runs independently of FG. If you do end up getting this GPU I highly recommend using a frame generation mod in every single-player game that supports it.

    Frame Generation is a godsend!

So price was in mind and with the release of radeons 7800 gpu, I really had low expectations really. So, I bought it anyway. With all of Nvidia’s new technologies with frame generation and stuff, I don’t even notice lag at 4k 80fps and sometimes above. Ultra low power consumption as well. Not regretting my choice so far. Temps are higher than I expected but taken with a grain of salt. It is in a mini itx build.

Gpu has great performance, doesn't use alot of power. Frames on almost max settings for COD MW2 warzone is around 110-120 with 5600x cpu. Worth the money for the price.

    Amazing Card

I upgraded from a 3070 so I wasnt expecting a crazy performance boost. What I was surprised about was the power efficiency and thus thermal management. I will play some games for an hour and the fan wont even start because the card is not hot enough. I dont think i have even reached past 60 C yet. Also since this card is smaller the the rest of the 40 series, it can fit in my compact case without the power connector touching the side wall.

I have a machine running Folding At Home (F@H) crunching numbers, and felt like buying into the next generation after my RTX 3070 FE card. I like that the rated top power consumption for the 4070 was even less than the 3070, and this card is also what I think of as a "standard" size card. I do not care to dedicate so much power, heat, and space in my PC case to the monster behemoths like the Ti and 4080 and up cards. I was completely BLOWN AWAY by the efficiency of the GeForce RTX 4070!!! My RTX 3070 was crunching an average of 4,500,000 points per day while consuming 225W. RTX 4070 is crunching ELEVEN million PPD eating a steady 175 watts! I don't know if it is the 12GB of VRAM or the 5nm chip process or what ... but this thing is simply amazing!

Runs all games on ultra 144 fps+ on 1440p, dont have to worry much about gpu sag due to it being a smaller card which is really nice and the design is sleek and looks when all set up.

After some pretty extensive research, I decided that this was the right card for me due to the the low amounts of power it draws and the main use of it being for produtivity.
