Customers are delighted by the GeForce RTX 4070 12GB GDDR6 Graphics Card's impressive performance, efficient cooling, and relatively low power consumption. Many appreciate its compact size and quiet operation, along with the excellent frame rates achieved in games. However, some customers find the price to be a significant drawback, and a few have reported experiencing coil whine. The 12GB memory capacity has also been noted as potentially insufficient for some users.

Good Product but where is my ow2 game bundle?
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.RTX 4070 is definitely a great product. It does a great job in elevating my gaming experience. I am an OverWatch lover, and this graphics card delivers stunning visuals. But one thing I need to know is that where is my game bundle? Nvidia said that it should come with the product. Why it is not included in this product?

Great Gaming Experience
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You have to admit, the presentation of the box and GPU is a work of art. The 4070 (non-ti) is a very powerful yet very efficient GPU. For the most part the card stays under 190 watts while gaming and would rarely go above 70c. I had no issues playing any game I threw at it from old games to newer titles. It would just deliver while just sipping on power. If you're into silent builds, this GPU make minimal noise even when gaming. I don't think there has been a moment I've heard it, unless I put my ear next to it and I visually see the fans are spinning. This is a little overkill since most of my PC time is spent watching videos, working, light gaming. However, I wanted to spoil myself this time around. I enjoy playing games with all the eye candy settings on (Full Ultra) and it makes me happy seeing all the visual fidelity while still being able to enjoy a stutter free experience. My 165hz refresh rate monitor really enjoys this :) My only critique, like others, is that this is a bit expensive for a 70 series GPU. That said, the performance is great when comparing it to last gen which used about 100w more to complete the same tasks. Overall I recommend it, although for the same price you can pick up the 4070 Super. I would suggest picking that up unless you can find the 4070 (vanilla) for much cheaper. I believe you can find the Founders Edition for $50 cheaper or any other Third Party models. It's powerful, silent, and very efficient!

Great card, less than ideal price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start out by saying that I have been pretty underwhelmed by the entirety of Nvidias 4000 lineup. None of the cards really match up that well with what should be expected from the prices they're listed at. Or even the namesakes they have been given. However, with all of that said, I do feel like the 4070 is a reasonable offering that is only a tad overpriced. I was looking for a GPU in the 3070-3080 performance range at a minimum as I play at 3440x1440 and need some decent GPU grunt. Now 3080s are going for around $450-480 used right now. Same goes for the 6800xt. So If raw performance is all you're after, then I would recommend looking that route. The 3070 can be found even cheaper around $330. Though of course you would be sacrificing a warranty in most cases. However, a few specific things ended up causing me to lean towards the 4070. Firstly, the power consumption. The 4070 uses about 100w less power than a 3080 and that was a consideration for me as I didn't want to worry about a power supply upgrade nor the extra heat a card of that wattage will generate. This 4070 runs pretty cool in my rig, the founders model does a good job. The highest I have seen the temp rise to has been around 66C and that's with the fan noise barely audible over my case fans. I am running this with an air cooled Ryzen 5 7600 in a micro atx case just for some context on that result. I will also say that frame generation, while not a card seller on its own, is a nice to have feature. I don't think it can replace raw performance uplifts like Nvidia wants to suggest, but it is helpful in the certain scenarios where it is available. The card came with Diablo IV, though I already had purchased it, and it offers frame gen. I wouldn't expect it to have offered much benefit in an isometric title where I am pretty sensitive to latency. Then I was surprised that it actually felt quite smooth. Just make sure you run settings that provide you with a base frame rate of at least 60 FPS for the best results. Which is easy to do in this game as I can max it out at 3440x1440 with this 4070. I did also want the AV1 encoding capabilities as I intend on getting into streaming and video production in the future. So its these factors, combined with the solid performance, that caused me to pull the trigger. A decision that I've been satisfied with for the most part. It performs very similarly to a 3080 and has enough Vram for my use cases as of right now. With all that said, I still really feel like it should come in around the previous generations msrp of $500. The 70 series from Nvidia has typically performed around the level of the previous generation 80ti card. So this feels like a step back and for a greater price, though with inflation its similar to the 3070 at its launch. However, again, the 3070 provided a more significant uplift over its direct predecessor. So I still would have liked the price to come in at $500ish to accommodate the lesser generational uplift. Though it isn't the worst value of the 40 series and can be a solid choice if some of the other benefits on offer seem like things you will take advantage of.

Excellent Card For a Certain Audience
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The past couple of years have been quite trying for people interested in building a new gaming PC. GPU prices have gone up, to the point that 3080s were going for the MSRP of a 3090. With the 4000 series of Nvidia of RTX cards, there has been some controversies with pricing for the performance gains. Now I think this card should retail for $500, but considering the recent past of gpus going for double and triple the MSRP, $600 is fair. Just because it is fair does not mean this card will be for everyone. AMD is often retailing cards that are 15-20% faster in non-RT, non-DLSS games for a comparable price. If you do not believe in DLSS or care about ray tracing AMD is a great choice. However, I think DLSS with frame generation is a wrothwhile investment that will prove to be useful over the 3 to 5 years I think someone should get out of a GPU. With the new features of DLSS 3 and Frame Generation the RTX 4070 is a highly efficient powerhouse. Ray tracing is far better on team green (nvidia), which I think will become far more important when the consoles have a mid cycle refresh with next gen AMD fsr. Even the next Switch is likely going to be using DLSS if Nintendo continues to partner with Nvidia. Most reviewers have the RTX 4070 on par with a 3080 (sometimes ahead or behind within a few percent). The RTX 4070 is $100 more than the RTX 3070, but $100 less than the 3080 was a launch (which finding one for $699 most of the time was nearly impossible, I would say the average sale price was $850). And once again while I am believer in DLSS and RayTracing. AMD has some short term advantages with performance, but what sold me on this was the efficiency. The RTX 4070 on paper a 3080 with more VRam, forward thinking technology WHILE using just 200 watts. It is one of the few cards that has 2 slot options that will fit in small form factor PCs. The RTX 4070ti for instance has 2 slot options that are $200 more than other options and are way too long for a small form factor build. For all intensive purposes the RTX 4070 is the most powerful GPU I can fit in my Thermaltake V1 ITX case and 550watt power supply. The RTX 4070 is not perfect, but is a great option if you want DLSS 3 for a fair price and have a small form factor case and/or PSU that is less than 700 watts.

Fantastic Card, Great 1440p, Runs Cool and Quiet
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to take the plunge and buy this card and I was NOT disappointed. It performs excellently, uses little power for how much graphical power it gives you, and is cool and quiet. I've played games at ultra 1440p 144Hz for hours and never seen this thing go much over 45C. Picked this because anything larger would have meant replacing my power supply, which I did not want to do. The card itself is physically smaller than the other 40xx cards. No need for a brace/stand or anything like that. A little spendy, but I don't regret the purchase at all. Great purchase, love it!

It's alright...but Nvidia overvalues software
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nvidia 4070 is an ok GPU. As a true 2 slot card in an era dominated by thicker cards, it really is a good option in smaller form factor builds. It also sips power, which is a great benefit. At the end of the day though, it is $600 for very marginal hardware increases over the previous generation. Nvidia seems more focused on convincing consumers that software features like DLSS 3.0 and frame generation should somehow take the place of meaningful native performance upgrades from year to year. And those features are really great - don't get me wrong - but are they worth spending $600 on? How will their impressive AI solve the limitations of just 12gb of VRAM in a few years? It likely won't. I returned this card and am going to try switching to team red again for this generation. The 7900xt is now often only $100-$150 more, offers 8gb more VRAM, performs somewhere between a 4070ti and the 4080 (in rasterization) and often bundles games valued at $50-$100. FSR is not as impressive as DLSS, but I'm buying hardware at the end of the day (and AMD historically has improved software after release of their products). I would recommend this product if (a) ray tracing is important and (b) your current case/board limits you to a smaller space available for your GPU. Otherwise, for the money I'd give team red a try.

Great card
|Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The NVIDIA RTX 4070 Founders Edition works like an absolute dream, delivering top-tier performance in a sleek, compact design. It handles 1440p gaming effortlessly, with ray tracing and DLSS 3.0 pushing frame rates even higher. Temps stay cool thanks to the efficient dual-fan system, and it’s whisper quiet under load. Whether you’re deep into AAA titles or creative workloads like video editing and 3D rendering, the 4070 FE offers a buttery-smooth experience. Its power efficiency is impressive too—drawing significantly less wattage compared to its bigger siblings while still keeping up in most modern games. It’s a perfect sweet spot for gamers who want power without going overboard.

It works fantastically.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The card is great. It may not be the best value proposition compared to say the 7800XT in terms of rasterized performance, but the stability of drivers and the feature set of the card for only $50 more than the 7800XT makes it worth it in my opinion. It is also much smaller than any other 7800XT so it fits in more cases, and pulls significant less power. Overall I would purchase this card again if I was doing it over.

RTX 4070 FE
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing card. Upgraded from a 3060ti and went with the 4070 FE as it was a bit smaller physically than most of the other 4070 cards. Cyberpunk 2077 - Went from 1440p60fps with ray tracing set to minimum to 1400p120fps with ray tracing set to Psycho. Price could still be a bit better but for $500 you could do way worse and you're pretty set for the next few years.

"Affordable" 40 Series Card
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A reasonably sized GPU when compared to a 4080/4090. It's actually surprising how small it is. It'd make a good SFF build GPU. Packs a good punch. Comparable to a 3080. It runs quiet and cool. Fan doesn't even run until it hits about 50C. It may be Nvidia's most affordable 40xx series card at the time of purchasing, but its still $600 for a xx70 series card with 12GB of vram. Nvidia's pricing is still a little ridiculous which is why the card isn't selling that well, but it was time for me to upgrade.

Excellent for high 70 fps at 1440p
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in the market for a new GPU, tbh Nvdia has been stealing money with those crazy prices. There might be people who will say that the 4070 is just another 3080ti. I was able to get this one on an offer and member points so it was worth it. I normally play on High 1440p, and in games like Red Dead Redemptiom 2 and Cyberpunk 2077, make the world see stunning and beautiful. I suggest exploring videos where people test the benchmarks for the 4070. I believe for $600 is not bad at all
