I will install this at some point!!?
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is not on performance but on just buying and installing. After a huge cable debacle, dont buy cooler master psu's, I finally have a cable to power this beast and now starts the journey of installing. I expect to have a complete review in a month when all issues are fixed and maybe all sides of my case are on. In the meantime, only buy if you can wait to install or have a large case and atx 3.0 psu.

A beast of a card, but for a premium.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: It's stupidly good and has the performance to run nearly anything you throw at it on nearly any settings. It's quiet, no coil whine, the fans are like little cooling ninjas even under load. The design of the FE is simple, elegant. No bells, no whistles. I really enjoy it. Cons: Price. Nvidia is holding us over a barrel and we all know it. I still bought it, but it will be the something I run for another 5-6 years or more. It's huge. We all know by now the 30/40XX series cards are massive but you really don't know until you get one in your hands and are trying to find a home for it inside your case. It's heavy. If you get one of these and aren't mounting it vertically or using a secondary bracket, you are absolutely doing it wrong. The sag is real and is very unforgiving. Possibly needing a new PSU. These are thirsty cards, make sure your PSU can handle it beforehand, lest you head down the upgrade-every-other-piece-of-your-system rabbit hole a card like this can lead you down. (is it a bad thing to upgrade? No. Just keep it in mind) Lastly, and less a con, more a minor personal gripe: No RGB. The light it has is just white, it can be disabled, but when the rest of the system isn't white, it's kind of a sore thumb.

Great graphic card
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The NVIDIA RTX 4080 is a powerhouse of a graphics card, delivering incredible performance across the board. Whether you’re gaming at ultra settings or diving into demanding creative workloads like 3D rendering or video editing, this card handles everything with ease. The ray tracing and AI-driven DLSS technology are particularly impressive, making games look stunning while maintaining smooth frame rates, even in 4K. One of the standout features is how efficiently it manages heat and power consumption. Even under heavy load, it stays cool and relatively quiet, which is a huge plus for longer gaming or work sessions. The build quality is solid, and the overall design has a sleek, premium feel. The only downside? I just wish it was a little more affordable. While the performance is top-tier and arguably worth the price for enthusiasts, a slightly lower price tag would make it more accessible to a wider audience. Still, if you’re looking for cutting-edge performance and can justify the cost, the RTX 4080 is a fantastic investment. Overall, it’s an outstanding card that delivers everything you’d expect from NVIDIA, and then some!

Beast of a card.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you manage to get your hands on this card at msrp it’s a great card. Better than the 4090 for itx builds as it doesn’t need a 1000w power supply.

Excellent card but overpriced. DLSS 3 is legit.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this card. I have had the 80 version of the last 4 GPU generations and this one is far and away my favorite. Pros: -The massive cooler keeps this thing chillin. It greatly outperforms my 3080FE and stays 20c cooler in heavy titles out of the box. That was verses my undervolted 3080 too so without the undervolt its like 25-30c cooler. - Uses significantly less power than last gen to achieve better results. This is of course part of why it runs cooler. -Doesn't get very loud -DLSS 3 Frame Gen is actually amazing and as someone who only plays single player games or couch coop I don't even notice the like +10ms increase in latency. I DO notice the ~40% boost to fps though. Absolutely the selling point of this gen. -Looks gorgeous Cons: -First one I got had some issue with the RT cores maybe? It seemed to run fine but I was getting all kinds of bizarre artifacting in games with RT on and on one just running Vulkan. Returned it and no issues on the replacement thus far. -The power connector is HARD to push in all the way and harder to get out. Like 24pin mother board power cable hard. I think it was only the 4090's melting but it has me cautious with the poorly designed connector. - EXPENSIVE. This card is overpriced.. period. It should be going for like 800 maybe a grand max. -VRAM. 16Gb is the minimum a mid/high end GPU should have in 2023 and beyond. That was the selling point for me personally on this card and why I was willing to pay the excessively high price. All in all it's a cool running beast of a card I plan to run for a while. So far I am satisfied albeit a little bitter about the price tag.

RTX 4080 FE = beast mode
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolute beast of a card. the RTX 4080 FE is honestly overkill, and I love it. This card crushes the games I play (mostly Diablo 4 on my Samsung Odyssey G9). Price/performance is better with a RTX4070ti or RTX4090. The RTX4080 is at an odd price point, so unless there is a good deal on it or you have the cash to throw around, probably better to wait for it to go on sale. If you are like me and don't really care about the cost/performance ratio, go ahead and snag this bad boy. No issues so far, runs cool and crushes the frame rates. Card is one big mofo, so you'll need plenty of room for it and it is heavy, so support of some kind isn't a bad idea.

Gaming Taken to Infinity and Beyond!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To say that this GPU is powerful is nothing short of an understatement. Upgrading from a 3070 TI, I was limited to 1440p gaming with DLSS on most AAA titles. The 4080 has no such limits. This is a true 4K GPU. Achieving 100+ FPS in my most favorite titles. With it's 16 GB of VRAM, you will never have to worry about any memory bottlenecks whatsoever. The efficiency is unreal as it consumes less power than my 3070 TI in most cases, and is way faster than the 3090 TI which is an inefficient giant. And for games that support DLSS 3, low frame frates are a thing of the past. The 4090 doesn't really seem worth it when this GPU can already achieve so much. Although it's value is still way too high, if you're willing to cough up the money, you will not be disappointed. It's every gamer's dream.

It easily handles 4K gaming at ultra settings, offering smooth, responsive gameplay with outstanding frame rates. Beyond gaming, the RTX 4080 excels in creative workloads, making it an ideal choice for video editing, 3D rendering, and other demanding tasks. The card's efficiency has also seen improvements, delivering high performance without excessive power consumption or noise. 4080 Founders Edition... 1440p King
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 4080 FE is a fantastic (if expensive) card. Less efficient $ per FPS than other options, but still operates in a great place below the 4090. Temps are great and operates to expectations. Build quality on the founders edition is exceptional. Consistently gets 100-140FPS in demanding titles at WQHD. Perfect option for that resolution. Minimal coil whine experienced but within expectations for these cards.

Game Changer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased a graphics card from Best Buy and have been thoroughly impressed with my gaming experience. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 has proven to be an absolute powerhouse. What stands out most is the card's stunning performance. It effortlessly handles even the most demanding games with smooth frame rates and exceptional visual fidelity. The ray tracing capabilities add a level of realism that I hadn't experienced before, making in-game worlds come to life. Furthermore, the ample VRAM ensures that I can run resource-intensive titles without any hiccups. The dual-fan cooling system keeps temperatures in check, and the card remains relatively quiet during intense gaming sessions. The only downside is the premium price, but the performance gains are worth it if gaming is your primary focus. As a gamer, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. In conclusion, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 from Best Buy has transformed my gaming experience. Its exceptional performance, ray tracing capabilities, and cooling system make it a top-tier choice for gamers, despite the cost. If you're passionate about gaming, this card is a solid investment that won't disappoint.

Have it for over 1 year.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had it for over a year. Used it for gaming and for rendering stuff on blender. Value wise, its meh.. overpriced for a 80tier card especially for just 16GB of VRAM. Build wise, its great and it is the smallest air cooled 4080. Heavy so you should make sure you don't move your computer too much with it in it. There is some coil whine sometimes, but rare. Maybe once a week. But most of the time, the fan isnt even on because the cooler is pretty effective because its so chunky and big,

Super cool card. Doesnt go over 71c! Absolutely am
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The coolest card ive ever purchased. I have been building PC's for a good 20 years now, since I was 12 and I have to say this is by far the best card I have ever owned and that says a lot because I've owned abour a dozen or so cards and its not just because the technology of how good the card is, its about how efficient it is and how well it stays cool. I put the fans up to about 36% in heavy gaming and it always stays at 60c to max 70c in a well ventilated case and it stuns me what this card can do. Also it doesnt sag and I had no power connector issues at all. I truly believe that having an atx 3.0 psu is the way to go for these cards. I know people don't like to hear that but you arent going to put a 4 speed transmission in a hemi or Viper engine will you?

Good buy.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent - I'm able to play whatever I want, with my settings maxxed out, at 4k or 1440p. Not loud, not particularly power-thirsty. I'm using it with my older Corsair 850w power supply, and paired with a Ryzen 5800x and 32gb ram. Cyberpunk looks great - even with that new Path Tracing feature that's much more demanding than the previous Psycho Raytracing. Sure, I could have gotten the 4090, for hundreds more - but then I'd have needed a new power supply. Be mindful of the connector - make sure it fits securely. Check it three or four times. This card is massive - if you have a compact case, it may not fit. I could barely put the side back on my ATX mid tower.

Fantastic Card
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a fantastic card, more powerful than a 3090 and uses much less electricity, which means it runs a lot cooler. The cooler on this card is very overbuilt which means it keeps the card running cool and the fans do not have to spin very fast. This leads to one quiet card under load. The only negative is the constantly increasing price, but it seems like everything else is going up in price as well any more. If you can afford it and want to gake at 1440p and 4k, this is a fantastic card.

Great Card but Pricey
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw the 4080 was available the day before Christmas Eve and purchased it as a little gift to my self. It's a behemoth of a card that is the double the thickness of my 3080. However, it undeniably runs cooler and quieter than the 3080 while delivering exceptional performance. But the price tag is absolutely high compared to what I paid for with the 3080 ($699). Overall though, it runs everything I need with no issues at all, just wished it was a little bit cheaper.
