The Chosen One – NVIDIA 4080 FE
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Skip the 4090 and go with the 4080 Founders Edition (if you can find one). The build quality is exceptional, it tackles any game at ultra settings, and it rips through rendering workloads – all while staying cool. The only downsides are pricing and availability.

Worth it if looking at this price point
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, this is one of the better cards you can buy at the price point and a new card. This is a great card to use if you wanted to get into 4K and raytracing. The card plays everything at Ultra high settings and very playable framerates. It runs incredibly silent that the case fans are actually louder than the ones in the card and it runs cool. During long playing sessions, I do not remember seeing it reach higher than 70 degrees Celsius. My only gripe about his card is the dongle it comes with because it makes your cable management a clutter. I was able to work around it by buying Corsair's 12vhpwr cable. Cablemod is making custom power supply cables so there is that extra cost. Despite all of this, the 4080 may not be for everyone and only for those looking at this price point and a new card. If price is not an issue, I would suggest a 4090. If you want to save a buck, the used market for 30 series cards seems to be where it's at if you are looking for MSRP prices, but you will be getting used cards. The other choice is going Team Red at the sacrifice of ray tracing capabilities. Overall, the graphics card market is inflated it is hard to suggest something like this unless you are looking for this card specifically, but if you buy it, you will not be disappointed.

Fast...and it better be....
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.blazing fast, super quiet - runs cool and fits perfect in my Fractal Terra mini-itx case. I game in 4k on a 42" LG C2 and the 4080 makes easy work of all the games I play. Only con is that it's still stupid expensive. This will have to last me a long-long time.

Expensive but powerful!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the RTX 4080 FE is extremely overpriced just like every modern day card from big companies like NVIDIA and AMD, it is still a beast when it comes to 1440p/4k gaming! Coil whine is barely audible on the card I recieved, and temperatures have been great under load! I would definitely recommend this version of the 4080 compared to other companies like MSI and Gigabyte just due to the minimum coil whine and reliability of the card.

Great GPU use discount code BB credit card.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Exellent GPU! smooth fast and great reaction time. came from a RTX3080 to a 4080. TBH i wouldnt have upgraded lf i didnt NEED to rebuild my whole pc set up.. i had the NZXT 510i elite case and my 3080 was always running hot.that case has horrible airflow that was problem 1. problem 2 my 3080 was paired with ryzen 5 3600 and i couldnt play 1440p bc cpu bottleneck was extremely bad. i NEEDED to upgrade my CPU easy peasy rite ? WRONG the ryzen 9 5900x cpu upgrade requires a much better cpu cooler.the NZXT case only had 1 fan support at the top which basically meant i NEEDED a new PC case. i got the corsair 5000D airflow case to future proof my new build so i dont make the same mistake twice. well after i built the new PC my 3080 was running much cooler in the new case and then i saw on reddit someone got the 4080 for 1075$ NEW by using best buy credit card code. i immediately posted all of my old computer parts and 3080 on sale and got 800$ took 200$ out of pocket and got the 4080 upgrade!. @1200 + tax i would not recommend this card at all BUUUUT if you use the discount code and get almost 200$ off its worth it for sure.

A real powerhouse, price is a bit high
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card is amazing, a serious performer. I use this 100% for gaming and it crushes everything at 3440x1440/120p, max settings. This card is massive, same size as the 4090, and is also very heavy due to the cooler size, so I would highly recommend some sort of GPU brace to keep it from sagging. I think the highest temps I've seen so far were in the low 60s, so the cooler does its job extremely well. As for the price...despite the performance, it's still difficult for me to justify such a high price tag. I don't regret the purchase, but I think it would make more sense to set the price to be more in line with the 7900 XTX ($999), as they are very close, if not direct, competitors. Overall, I would recommend this card if you are ok with the current pricing. I personally was not pursuing a 4090 as I don't think I would have been able to full utilize its power, and this card is a bit less power hungry than the 4090 (300W vs 450W).

Don't Hate
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only reason anyone hates this card is because of it's price. $1200 is crazy, but I had some savings and wanted to build the PC I always wanted. Ultra-wide (3440x1440) is everything I thought it would be. Having that extra space and having a card that delivers ALL games in Ultra is joy. Starfield is the outlier in that it only gets ~90 fps. Red Dead 2 - 120+. Remnant 2 - 144 (monitor refresh). Alan Wake 2 -120 (IIRC). When I bought this, which is a superior 4080, other brands were going for ~1600+. I would have bought the 4090FE if it was available at $1600 (Best Buy price), when the lowest 3rd party brand was around $2200. Happy with my purchase.

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Big card. Make sure you have space in case. Upgraded from 3080ti. Got 40% more frames. Max temp from 91 to 65. Power from 400 down to 300 watts.

Great GPU, but very expensive!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from a RTX 3080 12gb and the RTX 4080 is so much better, except for the price. Pros: Faster, especially at 1440p and 4k Very Quiet 16Gb of Vram Build Quality Smallest 4080 on the Market Cons: Ridiculously Overpriced Power Connector Huge, takes a full 3 slots and barely fits in my case If you want to splurge its a great card, but surely cheaper options will be available down the road.

Beast Card
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a very nice upgrade from a 1080ti. I game at 1440p and the performance it provides is more than enough. I capped the game I'm currently playing at 160fps using Rivatuner because my monitor only goes up to 165hz. And this is despite having all the settings cranked. This makes the game very smooth and responsive with essentially a locked framerate. In most circumstances I'd say it's pointless to use "Ultra" or "Extreme" graphic settings in games but I want to give the gpu something to do...you know? I ran some benchmarks to see how hot and loud I could get the card with 99-100% utilization. The result was not very hot and not very loud. I think 63-65C was the best I could do. The FE card is also one of the best looking cards in my opinion.

Excellent performance, terrible coil whine
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The performance is insane. The card runs dead silent, cool, and everything runs great. The card has terrible coil whine, though. The first one I bought was the loudest coil whine I've ever heard. you could hear it outside the room. So I ordered another one to return the loud one. This one whines too, not AS loud as the other, and i'm debating on if it's acceptable to me. The price of this card being absolutely insane, it should not have coil whine like this. The second card is maybe slightly louder than my EVGA 3080 was, which I already thought was loud. The coil whine on these are loud enough that I would not want to play without headphones, or the speakers cranked up. It's distracting and annoying, and honestly disappointing for the cost. It's the loudest coil whine I've ever heard in 20 years of buying GPUs.

For 4k Gaming and 1440 @ 360hz gaming
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.pricey, but is a beast of a graphics card. Doesn't even break a sweat in games running at 1440. I almost seems like the fans start getting a workout during 4k and benchmark tests. Be careful with the supplied power adapter, make sure its plugged in correctly and the bend of the cable is not too drastic. PSU's that support PCIe 5.0 will have a cable that is more forgiving on the cable bend though If you are getting a smaller case make sure you check the measurements first as its a big boy. It does fit in a Corsair 2000D case though!

Great Card, Bad Price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only bad thing about this card is the price. It runs cool and quiet while pulling RTX 3070 levels of power while undervolted. It is at least a 50% uplift over RTX 3080 at 1440p ultra!

Cool running card under normal use, even gaming.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a card that wouldnt run super hot. This card makes high frame rate and low heat, not as high as the 4090 but Im not a gamer and this card should last 10 years for me. Fast, efficient and its not loud by any means, cant hear it unless hard gaming happens which for me is nearly never. Its over priced though, should be 900 based on this horrific economy, We all have bills and need to eat, this is pricing that puts companies out of business. Remember the retail appocolypse just happened not long ago we lost over 25 major companies! They all had high prices. Anyway, its ok for the money, I feel it was very over priced and thats sad.

RTX 4080 Rocks.
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came from a 1070 Ti (thank you miners for buying everything) and this card is just nuts. I've been wanting to game at 4K, upscale with DLSS 3.5, Ray Tracing, and more... and it delivers. I got a slight discount on the card, so at $1000 nothing compares. Say what you want about them, but NVIDIA is leading the way when it comes to graphics technology. I have it in a very small form factor case and the GPU stays absolutely quiet - and on older games sometimes it doesn't even need the fan. What a beast.

Great
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 is an impressive powerhouse, delivering outstanding 4K gaming performance and handling demanding workloads like 3D modeling and video editing with ease. Its advanced ray tracing and DLSS 3.0 features provide stunning visuals and improved frame rates. Despite its high price and substantial power requirements, the efficient cooling system keeps it quiet and cool. For serious gamers and content creators, this GPU is a worthwhile investment, offering future-proof performance and exceptional quality.

a versatile top tier gaming card
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A more reasonable top tier gaming card than 4090. It gives enough performance. It has a reasonable power consumption which make it more versatile without compromising 4K gaming experience. I don't think a gamer can really feel performance difference. Yes, the price is still crazy but that's a reality to live with ...
