Incredibly Efficient GPU
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A powerful gpu to power your 4k gaming addiction. Incredibly efficient as to not your pc a certified heater. While I liked the 7900xtx, I couldn't stand how hot it would make my room. Only hinderance is the abhorrent pricing from Nvidia. At least the price is someone offset by the fact they include the 4090 cooler on this.

Great product, meh price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Runs everything very well and is a very well built card. The product itself is great, the price not so much. But given the current price of higher end 3000 series cards and AMDs flop with the 7000 series launch, it stops seeming so bad.

Great card but expensive
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card is a banger, easily able to max everything I throw at it on 1440 without breaking a sweat. It is honestly overkill unless you game in 4k. Coming from a 2070 Super however, the gains were huge. With that said the price on these newer cards is getting absurd. I wouldnt bother upgrading if you already have a 30 series card unless you game in 4k and want every extra fps you can get. This card does require a 12VHPWR power connector. The new PSU I used for this build had a dedicated plug just for these new cards. This 4080 reference card from Nvidia did come with an adapter cable if youre using an older psu that takes two 8 pin pci-e.

Great performance but pricey
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would give 5 stars if the price was a little more customer friendly. Price for performance console demolishes this, but if you have a PC, it's a good card that run cool. Slightly power hungry, but that's the design.

Great deal if you do it right. Excellent Card!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes the card is overpriced but wow what a performance boost. I'm still on the 8700k CPU. I was using a 3080 Aorus Master and went from 16000 Graphics score in 3DMark to 25000ish with the 4080. I applied for the Credit Card and got 10% off the card price, $120 off, then also got $100 off if you use the card within a week or two, then also get the rewards points. So it's like $285 off almost for the card. Then I plan to sell my 3080 for $450-500 as it goes on Ebay. So really not overpaying if you stack the deals and sell. Also this card IS smaller than my Gigabyte 3080 Aorus Master, it's why I chose Nvidia brand over others. During 3DMark test I didn't see temps go above 61c and rests are 32c.

The 1440p Ultra Experience
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is most attractive and best-cooled 4080 that exists. It is capable of 1440p ultra 100+ fps on all titles, and maximizes my display at 165 on many. It is overclockable through GeForce experience auto-tuning, and has all the DLSS, DLAA, RTX cores etc able to push ultra quality rays and psycho levels at this resolution target. Can also very comfortably hit 4K ultra 100+ fps with negligible graphics tweaking. You will pay for this card, but you will not wonder where the money went. It’s under the hood of this black and silver war machine. You deserve to push all the sliders to ultra.

Great performance but it comes at high cost.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent GPU. Very good performance - I have an ultra wide as one of my monitors and it can take a lot to really drive newer games. The card runs cool and is silent. The price however is a bit of a shocker, but that is set by Nvidia. It is also one of the nicest looking GPUs that I have every had. I took off one star because of the price.

Best 1440p graphics card.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to this from a gtx 1080ti. And lemme tell you. This thing is absolutely bonkers for 1440p gaming. Every single game that has come out so far as of writer this review I can absolutely max out the setting and be over 100fps the entire time it playing this will also depend on your cpu and ram of course. As a intel guy I’d recommend a 13700k to run this with.

Expensive, but worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Powerful card. The only issue I had was the somewhat loud coil whine but it’s not too bad. It is quite expensive compared to AMD but this card holds its own.

Easy choice in-stock/12-month/great horsepower
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced a 2070. Night and day. Running in a PCIe 3 16x slot on an i7700 and doing triple digits on shooters on 4k and 21:9 screens, high settings. You’re not going to fix AC/Denuvo texture/shadow pop if you’re using a anything but a PCIe 4 SSD/not seven cpu gens behind feeding assets, but even being CPU bound this card cranks over 60fps on those games, highest setting. Price is what it is, I haven’t console spent since a PS4 and got that old 2070 with the help of a big rewards certificate, so it was worth it for me and easy on financing. Feel pretty future proofed, haven’t tried ray-tracing performance yet. Stock fan is quiet and the card runs at sub-60 C when it’s cranking.

4080 is amazing!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its a 4080 what more could you expect!? Its an overall amazing card that is almost always in stock. It may be a waste of money if you care about performance per dollar as the 4090 is a better value in that aspect but you will still be spending so much more on a 4090 and thats if you can ever find one in stock (founders edition) but for a really good card thats always available i personally think the 4080 does everything i could ever ask of it!

Amazing product, but that price...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just like the RTX4090FE the RTX4080FE is the best looking and the highest quality made new generation GPU, the performance is outstanding and the card is running super cool and quiet, probably the coolest and quietest generation from team green that I have ever seen, aside from water cooled versions, but unfortunately nGeedia decided to increase the price over 50% for this 80 class card making it very unattractive for most buyers. At the asking price most of the computer enthusiasts would prefer to add another couple of hundred dollars and just get the 4090, at least they will have the absolute best at the moment. Personally, I bought the 4080 since getting 4090FE is proving to be impossible even 4 months after the release and at 1440P, the 4080 is delivering excellent performance, maxing the frame rate on the monitor in most games, with ultra settings, while staying cool and quiet.

Excellent graphics card.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.NVIDIA is the best when it comes to graphics cards. This card runs everything perfectly that I’ve thrown at it so far. Quiet, cool, and an absolute beast. 10/10

Good all around performance
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good performance with most games at 4k. Newest games may require 1440p for better performance. Value per dollar could be better. My card has coil wine.

NVIDIA 4080 is a frame rate champ!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best value high-end card, not from the Super line. Barely breaks a sweat running the best AAA games, at UWQHD resolution. Definitely worth picking up, even at pre-owned prices, if you can’t shell out for the 4080 Super.

It is NOT a bad value!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can be said about this GPU. It's perfectly fine. It's very fast. The FE model looks beautiful. It's relatively quiet, runs cool, and doesn't draw too much power. Simply, this is a great hi end choice for most people in the market for this level card. What I want to address specifically though, is the popular claim that this GPU is the worst value of the 40 gen RTX. I disagree. It's pricey, yes, but if you actually looks at performance of the 4070Ti, and a 4090, this 4080 fits right in the middle in all characteristics. For example, everyone says the 4090 is a huge upgrade, for around $400 more, so it's the one that should be looked at instead. Look it up. The 4090 costs 35% more, and it gives around 30% more performance on average. There can be an argument made for more VRAM, but most of us will not see any benefit, especially for gaming, let's be honest. And then there are AMD options, that supposedly offer a much better "value". Go look at AMD forums. Tons of issues that never get addressed by AMD. You get what you pay for. I'd happily pay a $200-300 more for a reliable Nvidia GPU any day. So the bottom line, people don't know what value actually means. There is nothing wrong with this card's value, it's just not as cheap as many would like it to be, but if you can afford it, you will not be disappointed.

Pricey but Great
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The title says it all. Back in the day the 80 tier of Nvidia GPUs would cost sub $1k around $700-800ish. Now they nearly doubled them in price because Nvidia is ages ahead of competition. If you can afford it, buy it. Check its dimensions because compared to last generation’s 3080, the 4080 is just as big the 3090, I think. It comes in a sturdy box too. Props to the store clerks who were super chill during the pick up process!
