Customers are saying
Customers often highlight the GeForce RTX 4080 16GB GDDR6X Graphics Card's impressive performance, especially for high-resolution gaming, and its effective cooling system. Many appreciate the high frame rates and excellent ray tracing capabilities, although some users mention the card's substantial size and weight. The price point is frequently cited as a significant drawback. While build quality is generally praised, some users experienced coil whine.

Exceptionally quiet and Powerful video card.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Card purchased online, pickup was quick and available at the location i preferred. Card is stellar runs everything out ultra settings and is very quiet does not seem to generate any heat but with my i-9 32 GB Ram system playing older games that I prefer, it's not really working very hard, but I purchased the card in anticipation of Starfield and the purchase of a much larger 4k monitor so I'm just getting prepared. Although this card is not state-of-the-art, I think it will deliver everything I need to do for the predictable future.

If You Use Davinci Resolve and OFX/Dehancer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was difficult to find reviews for my specific use case, but I edit Blackmagic Raw 6k footage with Davinci Resolve, and I often user Dehancer on my footage. Dehancer requires true power to run (if you know, you know). I was holding out for the 4090 because of Dehancer's requirements, but "settled" for the 4080. This thing handles Dehancer and basically every other OFX effect with ease. I can play the 6k footage back smoothly thanks to my 7950x, but when I throw a color grade, grain, halation, etc. on the footage, the 4080 shines. I can scrub the timeline without any issue and without having to bypass the color grade. I'm coming from the 1070ti and given how Dehancer performed with that card, I knew I'd need a 4090. But, I was wrong. This card makes editing in Resolve, so far no matter what I throw at it, a breeze. I use minimal stacking of timeline elements, a few titles and clips here and there, but never really more than 3 items. No issue. Lastly, I watch the task manager for when certain plugins hit and when the 4080 takes over processing (as of the date of this review, not even Dehancer specifically mentions what aspect of the GPU is most important with running that plugin and only mentions more memory is better). I noted the "3d engine" (especially) and "copy engine" were activated when the Dehancer plugin was applied. I do not fully understand GPU engineering and whether these two engines are the ones always busy in interpreting a scene, but based on the benchmarks posted on 3d rendering, I kept this card over returning for the AMD brand, even one with more memory.

4080 review
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good, it's a tight fit all around in my 011 dynamic evo case. It doesn't overheat even when it's under heavy load. I get about 260-300 fps on max settings in warzone and MW2. Valorant I get about 450-500 fps on max settings. Hovers around 50-61 C under load. I think this is a good pickup for the price overall.

Nice

Amazing GPU, Poor Price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In terms of value, we all know this ain’t it. But there is no denying the performance. This thing is fantastic, and it stays super cool too. Even with a slight overclock of 200 core and 500 memory, this did not pass 60* while running various 3dmark benchmarks. Performance in MSFS is also great, and the frame generation implementation there is good and will only get better. If you’re in the market for a high end GPU, and don't want to spend 2000+ on a scalped 4090, this thing is the way to go.

Amazing performance and stays cool!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing performance with 58C temps under full load. The price could be better from NVIDA, but such is thr GPU market now.

Great at 1440p
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 1440p performance of this card is great! Can crank up all the settings in Cyberpunk 2077 to max alongside my Ryzen 5950x and have a smooth 120+ fps experience! A couple of downsides are the need for the new pcie power connector and the pricing that Nvidia decided on for this card. If it ever goes on sale for any significant amount though, it could make it a better deal. I could always get a custom cable ftom Cable Mod or something too in order to alleviate the cable downside!

Much better choice then the 4070Ti
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I debated for months between the 4070Ti and the 4080. Im glad i spent the extra bit and got the 4080 i get 144fps and above on every game on Ultra with 2 1440p monitors. I havent even needed to enable DLSS yet, fantastic card. I havent seen it reach over 64C on Star Citizen with max settings and I live in Florida where my house is generally more hot

Excellent card, just overpriced.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent card for 4K gaming, especially if you can't get the 4090 and/or want a card that doesn't consume quite as much power and isn't quite as expensive. Other than the price (literally my only complaint with this card), this is an excellent card. Thermals and power consumption are excellent as well. In my experience, the card stays cool and rarely hits its rated power draw. One thing to keep in mind is that the card is fairly large, so you'll want to make sure your case has enough room and think about getting a GPU support bracket of some kind.

Nvidia is at the top of its game, but expensive.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.NVDIA keeps being the ahead of the game. This card is a beast, it can play without hiccups at max settings on 4K - 60 fts (probably could do a little more but I have it capped) and 1440 @ 120 + fps. The only downside is Price for FPS performance and the size this is now the same size as the 3090 was, so be aware if you have a small case where a 3080 used to fit because these car are way bigger.

Great GPU bad value
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Comes in a mega shipping box when you pick it up. Could be used for self-defense after :) As a GPU this is awesome from a performance standpoint. Now from a value standpoint it is trash. Should not cost more than $900 imo. This is "better than many other AIBs as it has an awesome cooler though it is understated which should make it more appealing to some. It is a large size GPU so check your case space and see if you will lose PCIe slot use. If you have rewards or a coupon this could be better value, but I would recommend you wait for a sale or price cut.

A great card that everyone wishes was cheaper
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An amazing but unfortunately expensive card that significantly outperforms its predecessor, the 3080, while maintaining a TDP of 320W. On top of the raw performance increase in rasterization, the 4080 also excels at power efficiency, ray tracing, upscaling, frame generation, and noise levels (thanks to its oversized cooler design). YMMV with coil whine. Minus points for the unfavourable price/performance and use of 12VHPWR for a card that is only rated for 320W.

Fast and stable!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned this over a year now. It's been amazing and will play anything I throw at it. I'm on a 5800x3d system with a 1440p 34 inch ultra wide monitor. Card never crashes and is amazing price was just a bit high but I got a discount so that was good.

Overkill that is worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A bit pricey but is almost overkill for my already overkill build. The 4080 16 GB is the sweet spot that will last for years. I purchased it a year and a half ago with zero issues.

Fantastic Performance, Too Expensive
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from an RTX 3070 to an RTX 4080, and I have so far been very satisfied with my purchase. This card performs remarkably, performing around 50% better on average than an RTX 3080. Even better is the power and cooling efficiency on this Founders Edition. I would have given it 5 stars, but the price is too high. This card would excel in the current market if it only sold for $800-$900. A recent, powerful CPU is highly recommended because I use an 11700K at 1440p, and I end up being CPU limited in most games.

A leap in performance and features
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great performance at an acceptable price. Quickly compresses and renders video and the AI scaling features are nice as well. It's able to save me hours of time with new features compared to my previous card. This FE card barely fit my PC, any of the other brands would have been too big but despite the smaller size the card is perfectly cool even under load.
