Customers often highlight the GeForce RTX 4080 16GB GDDR6X Graphics Card's impressive performance, especially for high-resolution gaming, and its effective cooling system. Many appreciate the high frame rates and excellent ray tracing capabilities, although some users mention the card's substantial size and weight. The price point is frequently cited as a significant drawback. While build quality is generally praised, some users experienced coil whine.

No regrets
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was feeling a little hesitant to upgrade to a 4080 with my PC rebuild, but after it got to me that was immediately washed away. The unboxing experience was unlike nothing else I’ve ever opened. It was ultra-premium and almost felt like a waste that the cards true home was my computer, and not this box. What do I even do with such a box? First impressions after installing the card were lackluster until I upped the graphics settings on cyberpunk to maximum and experience significantly better smoothness and gameplay. I now see what I was missing from DLSS3.5 and there’s no going back. Obviously Nvidia could do better with their pricing, and make cards slightly more accessible by not spending extraneous amounts on extras like the unboxing… but it still was better than I was expecting overall.

The 2023 Choice for 2K Gaming
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 4080 is perfect if you intend to use it for 2K gaming and it can also handle 4K too with max settings at around 60 frames per second. It is up to you if you want better FPS than 60 and get the 4090 to receive about 100 FPS, but the 4080 truly already gets the job done if you are sticking with 2K, you won't even care about the 4090 otherwise.

Quiet!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded because of the lower power draw. Keeping it for the frames.

Sleek and Clean look
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not much to say about this card other than its a powerhouse of a gpu. Not as strong as its sibling (4090) but gets everything done when gaming at 1440p. 4k also looks amazing but when playing at max settings, it is not needed!

Stays very cool in o11 dynamoc
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Card stays very cool in o11 dynamic, never goes higher then 55C. Never seen this in a GPU. If you have the O11 dynamic you will have to leave the glass side off or retro fit it on until cablemod releases the 90 degree adapter. I measure from connector to glass with a caliper and it was 24mm. The 90 degree connectore sticks out 22.6mm so it will barely fit.

excellent
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.exceeding my expectations. Haven't been keeping up with the products since the whole scalper deal and chip shortage at the 30 series drop so I'm coming in this dark. And wow coming from a day one 2070 evga stock card and oc i79700k has been insane. 128% userbenchmark to 280% for gaming category thermal good too with just a two fan radiator setup.

Performance is incredible, price is iffy.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my 4080 and what it is capable of doing/does. But for the price point it might be asking a little much. Still love it though.

Better performance, cooling, and less power usage!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced my 3080 Ti with this and I can’t believe how much less power uses, with better cooling and less noise! Undervolted it to just peak at 180w. Max load in Cyberpunk only gets this thing at 53 degrees. And I have my fan curves set to 30% until 50 degrees, 40% until 65 degrees, 50% until 70 degrees, and then 60% after that. It’s great!

The grand upgrade, literally.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a 3080 ti previously. would've kept it but could no longer justify the heat and huge power draw (250 watts at IDLE). 4080 cost is bad and will be bad for a while I think. But this is what I needed in an upgrade, so a keeper this is.
