I used this to replace my Amazon Fire TV. I did notice a difference in processing speed immediately. The grid streaming service is nice and the emulators on the play store run snes games well. If call of duty and battlefield 4 can make their way to grid I would be set.

So the device is nice but not for the price. The device looks nice but deff has some issues, ill be taken it back tommrow. I loaded mulators on it that i wanted, they played, but were sluggish, there was a deff lag between teh controller and the games. It took forever to update it, it kept saying there was no internet connection even tho i had it hard wired. Eventually after booting it a number of times it downloaded the update. The KODI was nice, but didnt display any thumbnails for hte folders that i had setup. All and all its a nice device, but not for 300.00. Id prob pay 150 for it for what i want it to do.

The Nvidia Shield TV has made its presence felt for a little over a year now and let me say, I'm in love. I went from an Amazon Firestick to a Matricom GBox and now to the Shield Tv. It's fast and responsive; browsing is a breeze. The available apps are great and allow you an easy transition to cut the cable. You don't have to jailbreak or sideload any apps although you still can if you wish. It comes with a 3 month subscription for GeForce Now, which is like Netflix for games. You select a membership game and are able to play the full version within 20 seconds with no lag. There is more to brag about but I'll allow you to see for yourself.

This is the best Console I have ever bought. I would recommend that you spend the extra money and buy the stand and the mini remote. It is small and doesn't have a fan so there is no noise. I have had no problems since installing it. I can't believe all the games you can play on it plus all the android games. The best feature is the headphones plug into the controller without an adapter needed. I love everything about it.

I just got the system today (without my free remote), but now its frozen. The Nvidia Now worked good, but I could not login in to Google Play, due to Google Play Plus not logging me in. So i looked on the internet and someone said to reset the console(After I tried everything else). Now it's stuck erasing, just read that it takes 2 half hours to reset, I only downloaded 5 GB on this thing an now I have to wait 2 half hours. Even tried pinging, can't even unplug this thing, because it still sits on the same screen even when you plug it back in. One last thing there are only around maybe 40 free games to play on here. I thought it would be like my tablet and have hundreds of free games, even some of the games I get free on my tablet I have to pay for on nvidia shield tv. No thanks I will stick to android gaming on a tablet.

this is the best entertainment purchase i have ever made. whatever you do buy the remote. sit in your chair and voice command everything you want to listen to or watch.. all of this was new to me. fantastic purchase. the pro has the 500g disk space.

All I have to say is the specs to this gaming system/media streamer are the best overall. No cons at all.

This is a follow up to my August 7th Review. I'm now giving the shield 5 stars due to the latest update to Android TV. Update 3.3 now allows Plex to passthrough Dolby TrueHD, Atmos and DTS:X. With this update I couldn't be happier with this product. If you've been on the fence, now would be the time to purchase this product as it makes for the best Plex media server that is not a HTPC.

So far I feel I have gotten what I paid for with this device. I think it is still one of the most expensive streaming devices, but well worth the added cost. Great for Kodi, super snappy navigating between apps and programs, great 4k streaming, lotsa fun things you can do with a little online self tutelage.

This is a must have!!!! A little pricey but its worth, believe me!!!

poor product play store has no code redemtion option i can find given with purchase unless u have another compatible device to redeem with note 3 was not compatible with the principal does not work anything like normal android device did not play a single game because spent hours with tech support on hold trying to figure out how to redeem the code and there is no guide searchable online to help product being returned in the am also does not play world of tanks blitz one of the best games on the market for android i think

This would be a great product if it worked. It constant freezes on the home screen and in just about anything else you do on it. Could be the controller because it also turns off and disconnects all the time. The game steaming is horrible and that's the main reason I got it. Most of the time the games will not even launch. I've had it for 4 hrs and am bringing it back. No even worth your time.
