I was using an old gaming PC as a plex server. It was loud, streamed over wifi and had a large footprint in my office. I purchased a Shield as a replacement. It is plugged into the router in the living room. No one even knows it is there! With the recent update to support HD Homerun I even have an antenna connected to watch over-the-air tv. My wife can watch one show while I watch another; no problem. I haven't had any issues. My Shield took 5 minutes to setup and has worked great since day 1.

Weak gaming device but not bad at streaming. If you are a gamer you might not be very happy. Seems ps4 is a much better gaming device. As far as streaming movies it seems more than capable. They really need to get to work on the gaming side.

This TV box is a little pricey but is everything you could want for a multimedia tv box. It has KODI built in along with lots of options for playing movies from the device itself or from a NAS in my situation. It has tons of games, and works seamless and fast with everything that I have sent at it. I would recommend buying when on-sale or when it comes with a free remote control. The remote control is very nice for netflix or when playing movies on the device.

Super fast streaming and user friendly. It's like an XBOX and a Fire TV together but with 500 GB of storage.

Don't bother with the cheap android tvs. This is the one you want. Super fast streaming even over wifi. And 4K output is a plus

The NVIDIA Shield is the best android TV on the market. It's hands down the fastest, most user friendly device out there.

So far this device has been great able to watch all my 4k content and streams 4K. Haven't had any issues been great.

The machine works very well, loads fast, you can play any of your pc games on it, the controller is a little laggy tho.

I love the nvidia shield. It runs kodi very well also runs games well.

This is by far the best streaming box. I have owned the apple tv roku and others. This does 4k @60hz.

I own both the Pro version and the 16gb version. I bought the Pro version when the Plex Media Server became available on the Shield device. I would give this 5 stars except that with the last software update (3.2) there are some issues that were introduced that are annoying. It doesn't make it unusable, just some little quirks. They will fix them with the next update I'm sure, but for now I can't give it 5 stars because of this.

I love this machine, it's the best set top box you can get. I use it for kodi, YouTube and sling tv. The reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because I'm not to crazy about the subscription based system for the gaming and I don't have an nvidia game card to stream from my pc. Without the nvidia game card you can't stream games correctly, there are other apps to do it but there not accurate. I do recommend this product to everyone.

It is awesome for running live tv and streaming replaced my droid tv box with it.
