Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the SHIELD Wireless Controller's comfortable design, long battery life, and improved design over the original controller. They appreciate the wireless connectivity and find it works well with the Nvidia Shield. However, some customers express concerns about its durability, with a few reporting issues with the left joystick malfunctioning after a short period of use. Additionally, a few customers feel that the price is too high.

controller works fine, but doesn't last very long for the price you pay it, it is the only controller I have found that works with nvidia shield. I have not come across any knock offs. Glad that best buy now offers it in store. It use to be order only.

    better for sight-impaired

We bought this, because the original Nvidia remote is all black with no lights, and is very difficult for a sight-impaired person to use. This joystick does the same job, but easier for someone with vision problems. Only negative thing.....it is incredibly sensitive, and the slightest touch changes the channel, etc.

It works very well, so far I have not found lag. Although I don't use it all, the only drawback I have is that sometimes when I'm going to use it without batteries and the problem is that the control never turns off.

The 4K upscaling really makes a huge difference. Much improved picture compared to my Chromecast or Fire Stick. Only thing that was lacking is storage on the unit itself, although you can add extra storage via an SSD if 16gb isn’t enough.

I love this controller. I understand other controllers are compatible with the Shield TV Pro but I wanted to stick with Nvidia and I am not disappointed. It definitely enhances your experience

I bought a digital Steele controller which is a good sub for this controller. But comparing the 2 I prefer the Shield controller better. Just works flawlessly and the features are so much better.

So the controller is nice but we hardly use it. It is a lot thinner/smaller than your typical controller and it is a little difficult to grip. I would say pass on this especially if you plan on gaming on your shield, get a wireless keyboard and mouse.

Controller has a unique design, but does nothing else to stand out, and is not as precise as a ps4, Xbox 1, or astro C40 controller.

Overall, this controller worked, but overtime the joysticks started to developed drifting issues and the buttons started to stick. I think other controllers have better quality than this. I would not recommend you buy this one unless you need Google voice control from your gaming remote which that is the major plus for this thing. The black slider in the middle of the controller, controls the volume up and down. Likes: Built in voice control where you can say "Hey Google" without touching it. Dislikes: Cheap quality, stick drift, sticky buttons Oh by the way: Voice control will only work on the Nvidia shield

Love it although if you use a button too much it can wear down the rubber padding making the button stick. I'm talking about 8 months time. Make sure to get insurance and don't make the same mistake I did.

Gave to my son-in-law for his birthday present. He connected it to a TV in their workout room. They play games daily and all are happy. I am looking forward to buy again.

Controller has a great and responsive feel. It worked with my Windows 10 PC no problem, after I installed Nvidia Geforce Experience, I connected it via bluetooth and it also doubles as a mouse if you're into that. I'd definitely buy it again.

This controller works as advertised, and adds the ability to use a headphone jack remotely. This feature was not included in the stock remote that come with the Shield TV Pro device, for some reason.

This really does not add a lot that you don't already have if you have a smart TV. It does some of the apps better than my samsung - Hulu and Netflix are more stable. On the other hand the youtube client interface is nowhere near as good as the Samsung TV has. I mostly got it to play video games with my significant other on the TV. This is VERY mixed. It works well with the NVIDIA streaming function but the number of good coop games is limited and the idea that you can BUY games from NVIDIA and then ALSO pay them a monthly fee is a turn off. I am also finding that on a number of unpredictable occasions, the TV remote will get ridiculously balky. We are talking 20 second response delay. If I could I would give a 3.5 but I am going with 4.
