Since day one having issues with the controller losing connection to the shield, product returned and will consider of picking up one if ever a new model will be available.

I’m talking about the controls seemed like they were inverted and would only go in two directions. Makes me wonder if the thumbsticks were damaged even though they felt fine. Returned the next day.

Called Nvidia and their answer is there will be a future update for this device. Not the operating system update but one for his controller to be able to use it. They could and would not provide a date or even timeframe for this update being released. I love my shield but this is pretty disappointing.

We apologize for your experience. The software upgrade for your 2015 SHIELD TV will be coming out within a week. This upgrade will enable it to work with the new SHIELD controller.
In the meantime, you can pair the new controller via Bluetooth to your 2015 SHIELD TV. Go to settings > remote & accessories > Add accessory. Then press and hold the NVIDIA button on the SHIELD controller for 3 seconds until the small blue LED flashes. This will pair the controller to your SHIELD.

I heard I have to update it with Geforce Experience but I dont have a Nvidia graphics card. I have an AMD so at the moment I am screwed because it just wont work.

Bit the bullet and got the new 2017 version. WOW!! Looks, feels and works flawlessly. Easy to setup and it updated the firmware immediately upon connecting to my tablet. Very pleased and happy I waited for this version. Best Buy had it in stock. Highly recommended.
