This is one of the best games on the Switch. This is very reminiscient of the old RPGs in the SNES/Genesis days, but with better graphics. The story is OK, but the gameplay and grind is challenging and engaging. Highly recommend!

Octopath reminds me of great games like chrono trigger from the days of square soft and the snes. Graphics are a great combination of 16 bit graphics with a modern twist. If you like turn based RPGs this is a game for you

Big fan of the 2D sprite image RPGs from the 90s. This game certainly does this genre justice and brings serious nostalgia to these games of old. Recommended to all RPG fans.

First off, the art style and music are just fantastic. It really looks like nothing else out there. The lovable throwback sprites stand out against the 2D/3D backgrounds, and the developers used all the right visual flourishes with the unreal engine to make things glisten and pop when it needs to. The 8 individual stories are a nice change of pace from the usual "end of the world" stakes these kinds of games tend to explore. Some of the writing (that old English dialogue in one of the stories is a bit excessive) could use some refinement, (and with the uneven voice acting, I just muted the voices and read the text like it was an RPG of old) but the battle system is super fun and fast paced despite some lengthy battles. All in all, a must own for the switch and any rpg fan.

This game was exactly what I was hoping for. Harkens back to the days of SNES/PSX turn-based RPGs (think Final Fantasy pre-IX, Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest). Great blend of old and new graphical effects. Just all-around amazing.

Game comes with case and cartridge. The game is a lot of fun. I wish the stories interacted with each other a bit more but all in all the different storylines are passable, the art is beautiful, and the music is the best part.

I really love this game. I got hooked when I started playing. I grew up playing turn-based RPGs (mostly SNES titles), and I felt nostalgic. If you're just like me, you will enjoy this game and I highly recommend it.

Reminds me of the old SNES games I used to play, graphics have a fresh take on them, and combat is interesting/engaging. If you like RPG games, I think this is one of the best for the switch.

If you are old like me 43 than you like traditional Japanese Turn Based RPGS. This is a throwback to a simpler time of gameplay and I welcome this. IF you like 16 and 32 rpgs go get this game you wont regret this

Great product. Loving this game. Octopath's deep storyline per character makes it unique and having the option to access all of these stories having 1 main character makes this very versatile.

At first I was unsure if I should buy this game or not since I was taken away by the cute graphics. However, the gameplay is amazing!! If you’re a fan of Final Fantasy and Fire Emblem, I’m sure you’d enjoy this game!

This game was fantastic to play. It was a great choice on my end. The graphics in the game are really detailed like the sand and snow. The job system in the game is great as well. I don't want to spoil any more, enjoy!

It's a great game. It calls back to the old school style of jrpg with truly turn based combat but it continues to innovate. The artwork is beautiful and the score is fantastically orchestrated.

This is a classic game in every sense. Graphic style is a throw back to the old days, the combat is classic turn based with a new twist. It's not for everyone. It seems slow at times, but its a must buy for JRPG fans

Surprisingly tense combat, eight endearing characters and stunning visuals make for an addicting experience. Note that while the game is on a linear track, you can tackle each character's story in any order you want.

I’m not usually a big RPG guy, but this game has everything I love about RPG’s. Excellent story telling, fun battles and a unique graphic style is what this game is all about. This might be my favorite game of 2018.

Octopath Traveler is simply a beautiful and well crafted JRPG. You can tell that the developers put a great deal of effort into creating this masterpiece. This is definitely worth the asking price, pick it up today.
