Love it but I wish the story was more cohesive. The game has an excellent battle system. It can seem hard at first but stick with it.

There game itself is good, not precisely what I was expecting, but that's not the game's fault. Will continue to play.

The first thing that stands out about this is the art style. Combining 2D sprites with HD backgrounds creates a stunning game.

I don't play a ton of JRPGs but this one has great combat. The story is pretty disjointed because of the 8 separate character stories.

Octopath Traveler starts out with you choosing one of eight different characters each with their own unique stories and battle abilities. Once you choose a character your journey begins with them and you meet each of the seven other characters on the way. You'll encounter enemies along your travels, and these battles can get dull after a while but the boss battles feel fresh and exciting compared to the basic normal enounters. In the end Octopath Traveler brings a new take on the jrpg genre and is highly recommended!

Game has great art style. The development of characters and the voice acting provided are much higher quality than one would presume.

This game is a wonderful dream come true. It has everything JRPG fans will be looking for, maybe besides stellar graphics. But the thing about Octopath Traveler is that they were aiming for a fusion of 16-bit, and higher-end 3D interfacing world’s to give it a strong nostalgic feel in a modern-style game.

I'm so glad this game was released. I grew up loving JRPGs on the SNES and this brought back a lot of good memories.

Interesting game with varied stories. Select your favorite character to begin and complete all paths in one playthrough or several.

While evoking the visual style of Final Fantasy VI, it actually is structured much more like the PlayStation RPG Romancing Saga. But where that game was difficult and inscrutable, Octopath triumphs with great storytelling and fresh combat mechanics. This game is more than an interesting visual gimmick.

I love the style of it, very reminiscent of the old Final Fantasy games but with other mechanics that make it pretty fun

It's a pretty classic RPG, fun at the beginning and very different. Does fall off a little after some hours in but still Solid.

This is a wonderful game however it definitely gets off to a slow start, but I would definitely recommend this to most RPG fans

Game is old school final fantasy type only played a little a bit tough but sure it will get easier as I learn mechanics

I have really been enjoying this game. Both my and my husband have a switch and I am thinking of buying another copy so that we both play. There doesn't have co-op but I don't think it needs it. This game is a beautiful 2D game that has 3D elements on it.

This game pays great service to the golden age of JRPGs, bringing back memories of seiken densetsu (secret of mana series), Final Fantasy VI, Star Ocean, and more. This game give you limitless replay and reminds use there is still more to a good game then the most realistic graphics!

Some of the stories start a little slow. Easy to love the presentation. Music and voice acting is fantastic.
