I purchased this gaming computer and paid 1495.00 for it. The capasitor went out just after the warranty expired. It wiil cost 460 to have it repaired. I always recommend HP product however I will not any longer. This computer costs too much money to last for 1 year. I did not get any help from Best Buy or HP. So do not buy this product!

This is NOT a gaming computer! I was tole it was but it just has colorful light in front. I had it for one day and the sound went out. I took the tower into Crystal Lake Best Buy, tried getting help from the Best Buy Geek people and was ridiculed for my choice in gaming, I play Steam games like Day of Defeat. After over two weeks with no fix I returned the who package

    Fast Gaming Computer (HP Omen)

I'm impressed with the speed of the Hp Omen. For a desktop PC, the fan noise is very minimal. It's not loud like other units I've had in the past. You will need an HDMI or DVI cable in order to connect it to a monitor. There is no VGA connector. It comes with 2 HDMI ports that are labeled HDMI 1 & 2, but neither one seems to work. There's a slot that has 4 HDMI ports. Unfortunately I was only able to connect to 1 out of 4 of them. The other 3 are not machined correctly, making it impossible for an HDMI cable to be used. Other than that, I'm impressed with the speed and quietness of the unit.

If you are looking into getting into the PC gaming scene, the HP Omen is the way to go. This particular model is fairly affordable for what you are getting. The brushed aluminum finish creates a very elegant look. The built in ambient light feature is a really cool feature that allows you to set it to your personal preferences. The Omen comes equipped with a 1 TB hard drive, which is lots of space for games. I love the wifi connectivity, and had absolutely zero issues while playing multiple games for an extended period of time. I'm a big fan of shooter games, and the Omen delivers with amazing graphics! A big plus for every gamer is multiple HDMI and USB (USB3 too) ports, and placed in easily accessible locations. The HP Omen is hard to beat for the price. There is so much room for expansion if you want to add more goodies. I find myself spending more time playing games on this computer, and am blown away by its performance. I'm sure that a true gamer will not mind this, as you should already have peripherals to your liking, but the keyboard and mouse that comes with the computer feels really cheap. This is definitely something that needs to be upgraded right away, especially with the size of the keys. Do yourself a favor and purchase gaming peripherals if you plan on picking this up. You'll be glad you did. I highly recommend the HP Omen to any gamer! It will not disappoint. Happy gaming!

    Awesome gaming PC!

Picked this up over the weekend. It is a fantastic beast of a gaming PC. It runs all the games I've tried so far on the highest settings. DCUO, TOR and Battlefront. There is alot of room to expand when needed but out of the box it is all that is needed to run current games. It comes with wifi and blue tooth also, something the other PCs in this price range lacks. The keyboard and mouse are just standard so I do think picking up better ones is a good idea. It runs great on my 65 inch TV. While it is not 4K it still runs like a charm. Vary quit too, much more quit then my PS4. The LED colors can be changed if not a fan of red. At the time of my purchase it was on sale for $699. But even at its standard price of $799 it is still a better option to buy this vs building the same rig and specs. Building the same rig and specs will easily run over $850 to $900 after buying a copy of Windows. In all it is a well rounded gaming PC that will run most if not all current games in high settings, is VR ready and can be upgraded if needed.

Pros- 729 bucks - runs all games 1080 60 frame or more -small and quiet -easy to use CONS -specs are not recommended for VR steam and most vr titles -not enough HDMI ports to use VR like WTF had to buy a 30 adaptor - no SSD -8 gigs of ram is not enough

I think this computer is awesome for price. I don't know that much about computers but I did the research I found for my dollar this was the one for me. If you don't want to build one I personally would get this one. But that is this man's opinion, and you know what they say ab..
