New Total Plan is disappointing

One of the best advantages for me under TotalTech was that they came to my home at n/c when the troubleshooting could not be solved over the phone. My problem is that I am disabled and can not drive, so taking in my laptop was very difficult. I had used MetroLife which meant a 4.5-hour time commitment. I can't say that the technician did very much when I brought in my laptop with concerns about unstable connectivity. I only experienced this with my laptop and not any other wi-fi devices in my home. He looked at it and checked it with the Best Buy wi-fi and he did not find any problems. Then sent me on my way. Then I found out about how WebRoot had changed their plan also, not only covering 3 devices instead of the 5 protected under TotalTech. Also, it was included in the TotalTech membership, where now it is only free for 6 months followed by a membership charge. I will be rethinking my membership next year

20 Years Best Buy Products Plu Total Tech Support

I could not get into my computers or stream on my tvs. Experiencing "roaming" on one cell phone despite I'm in my own home & country. The other is junk. It's involved. Ive had best buy for approx 20 years. I bought 7 computers and my other interest was cameras. In the past Ive bought countless other products from microwaves, headphones, hard drives, vacuum cleaners, computer & camera acessories. Counting all years I've bought 9 cameras total from best buy. I was treated with the utmost respect. I'm disabled & unable to go into a store. I have total tech support. They can come into my home. It's an hour time frame. They managed to correct my issue for now. I must have a home theatre apt. In the future. Calling in for support has been made easy for me. Their people are knowledgeable and listen very carefully to provide the best support. I've needed much help lately and though out the years they have done above and beyond when it comes to the reccomendations, support, even empathy. I appreciate the care & concern theve shown me. I have a home health aide. Patrick included her and explained to both of us what happened and needs to be done. Thank you best buy for 20 years of service.

Geek Squad re-installed Microsoft 365 on my laptop

We could not access Word or other Microfsoft functions. We had gone to Best Buy in-house twice to resolve issues and continued to have lack of access. Jeffrey was successful in completing the correct installation for Microsoft 365 on our laptop.

Staff keep us informed of arrival times and provided updates when necessary. Jobs were completed with little problem and success was immediate. Squad members were competent, quick, and answered our questions clearly and demonstrated any options as needed for my use. WElll done!

Geek Squad quickly solved a difficult problem.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very pleased to once again have my laptop computer working with the relatively new modem and router I purchased from Best Buy. Originally a Geek Squad member came in and set up my router and modem to effectively work with my television and a console computer on another floor. However after a couple of weeks I could no longer get my laptop to synch with my internet at home. The technician from the Geek Squad who came on 5/13/22 listened carefully to what I told him I tried to do and then when he finally resolved the problem he took the time to explain it to me (for which I was very grateful). All throughout he was very calm, understanding, and patient. It overall was a very positive experience. I should note that I called to set up this appointment on 5/3/22, the same day I had an appointment with the Geek Squad for the same issue and the Geek Squad tech did not arrive nor call to cancel. Only when I called a support line for Best Buy was I able to find out that indeed I was stood up for that appointment. However the support tech was very apologetic about the situation and set me up with the appointment on 5/13. Even with this mishap in general the Geek Squad and the support team have been very good in helping me.

Computer problems

I was still having problems with typing and moving cursor. When the tech arrived he was very friendly..and had appropriate face covering ( Covid). He quickly and efficiently checked the computer..finding out what was causing the problem. It is fixed for now...just something that will need to be replaced in the future. Always very happy with their service.

home visit technician

Left me paper saying to call and he would return my call within 24 hours. I called 3 days in a row and never did hear back from him. Remote technician was able to solve my problems. Thank God!

The Geek Squad service was performed as promised.

The service technician expended all efforts to fix a Microsoft problem but in the end had to show me how to use the online Geek Squad service due to the time needed to resolve the problem. He performed all other services needed before he left after giving step-by-step instructions. A very pleasant, polite & efficient Geek Squad representative.

There were so many issues to contend with due to not being able to repair my outdated computer purchased 5/29/2015. Had to purchase a new computer and the transition of information from the old to the new was incomplete. In-house efforts were not possible due to some kind of a firewall at Best Buy in Pineville NC to stop Road Runner access. Finally had to have an at-home tech visit my home on May 24, 2022 (Jorge Aranda) who was able to regain my Outlook account. Unfortunately, it still did not give me back all of my previous Outlook files and/or current data that was accessible on my old computer. Nonetheless, I appreciate the efforts of each and every Geek tech, especially Jorge Aranda, who helped me to have computer online access once again. A frustrating experience, but not any of the Geek Squad's fault.

They connected my I Pad so I could print from it and also send mails. Very, very good and helpful. They fixed my computer so now it runs real good. Exelent work that they did. They asked if there was anything else and at the time I could not think of anything. MyAlexa had not been working for a while and I wish I had asked them to fix it. very helpful and good.

OUTSTANDING TECH HOME SERVICE!
