Only gripe is that the fast forward and rewind buttons don’t work with YouTubeTV—have to use the ring—and guide button does not bring up live tv schedule in YouTube TV app. Much more ergonomic and backlit buttons are nice!

Great Apple Remote Alternative!

My daughter doesn't like the touchpad on the remote that comes with it so great alternative to this that like buttons instead of pads.

Apple TV replacement remote

It,worked better than the original remote so I was back to the original remote. Thought I.would give this one a try a fed I like it better than both 0f the others I used. The only reason for only 4 stars is there was no comprehensive instructions so I had to figure it out with the limited imstructions.

What a nice surprise. I recommend this remote. It wasn't in stock when ordered...but, worth the wait. I wish the price was a little lower...after taxes.

GREAT Alternative Option

This is PERFECT fill-in. And I don't feel so guilty for spending all that money on the "name brand" from Apple.

A Better Apple TV Remote

That part is most important. Really glad we got it. And the price was great.

There are also zero instructions on how to troubleshoot or pair with TV. Oi also prefer the swipe instead of click on the center button. It takes 2 AAA batteries which I haven’t tested but I’m assuming is quite wasteful with the backlight. You might like the backlight. You also might like how easy it is to set up with the Apple TV.
